~The two of them reach the archway that announced they'd reached the thrown room. She whispers back to Deiter.~ "Be careful in there." ~She looks back at him, with a worried grin on her face. She continues quietly.~ "Let's go..." ~She walks through the arch and into the throne-room.~

Now, all they had to do was wait for the signal before they began their work of death in this place.
Yet Larry could not figure out who was to give the signal, nor what the signal was to be...</font>

-Deiter pulled out Leafblade as he saw his friends surrounded by guards. He stood ready to fight as he scaned the room quickly.-

"So! You have finally arrived... I hope you've figured out how to use your blades, for I swear the last battle bore me to tears. Let us begin!" ~ Saying, he directs a spell trigger at the group of five. Moments later, the ground begins to shake and the guards retreat in fear. Out of the cracks arise 3 piles of bones, gradually forming into skeleton warriors (SW1, SW2 and SW3 for short; physically tough and 100% magic-resistant).~

~SW1 heads for Deiter; SW2 heads for Chani; SW3 heads for Larry...~

~ Mistral hurriedly casts a stoneskin spell, knowing she'll have protection against the next 7 physical attacks. ~

~She looks at an anxious Larry, and she forces her scythe to glow faintly. The scythe on Shatter's hilt did the same. She watches Deiter pull his scimitar from the corner of her eye, and does the same, rounding a skillful arc.~

~Chani smirks thinking to herself. 'A skeleton? Does he really think me THAT weak?!' She charges on to her opponent, hastily trying to destroy the creature, but not taking any risks, there was a LONG battle ahead.~

<font color="silver">Larry stands proudly in the face of danger, bringing up his sword to the natrual offensive position, in his left hand, crossing his chest. As the SW comes near, Larry lets it take the first shot, and easily dodges the blow, then brings his sword in to meet a bony arm.</font>

<font color="plum">Kaz took up postition behind Larry and casts a level 2 Strength upon him. </font>

ooc...I will keep up with her spells...I have a list right here of how many I use of each level.

-Deiter brought his scimitar up the same time the skeleton was bringing its old rusty weapon down at him. The blow and froce from the half elfs swing knocked the blade out of the skeletons hand,and shattered its right wrist.-

<font color="silver">Larry feels the strenght begin to course through him at Kaz's casting. He parrie another blow to the flank and brings his Katana singing over his head, dropping it onto the SW's head. Now, headless, the SW begins to swing blindly at anything. It wanders around the room, coming to close to one of Meldrin's soldiers, in which the soldier, promptly finished it off for his own protection.

Larry smiles at Meldrin and looks to se if his friends need a hand with something.</font>

<font color="plum">Kaz is ready to cast another spell, and she runs over to Dieter and lays a level 4 Stoneskin upon him. </font>

~The skeleton made a mad dash for her head with its forboding mace. She blocks the blow, barely, but the skeleton would not back off. She continues pressing against the rusted mace. She smirks.~ "Bad choice friend." ~Her boots of speed allowed her to agiley trip the skeleton's legs out from under it.~

-The SW started clawing at Deiter with its other hand. The ranger quickly duncked then brought his scimitar around cutting the SW in half from its waist. Seeing the SW crumble to just a pile of bones, he looked over at Meldrin.-

~Towering above the half-elf, the skeleton warrior swings its magical two-handed sword at her head.~

~ Meldrin watches the process with interest… ~ So we've another mageling… let's see how good she is! ~ He unscrews a bottle and a ring of fire appears right in front of Kaz. Before she can react, the efreeti casts a fireball at her. ~ (ooc: Larry, ring of fire resistance only reduces fire damage, does not cancel it. Also, don't post too fast, wait for me http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif)

~ Mistral hurriedly casts a breach at Meldrin, but realises with horror that for some reason, her spell bounces back; her stoneskin layers are gone!! ~

<font color="silver">As he heard Kaz scream, he looks back to see one of those efreeti things...he runs to her aid, sword swinging wildly, and tells Kaz to run to the opposite corner of the room.</font>

(ooc: This is battle is getting too chaotic, as I think you just want to finish up these creatures fast... ok, I'll try to speed up on my end too.)

~ Seeing that his SWs are being so easily eliminated, Meldrin casts a Bigby's Clenched Fist at Deiter. Deiter is held and injured slightly for one round with no save. ~

~ Mistral rushes forward to strike at the efreeti. ~

~With her foe down the ground she thrusts her scimitar downward to the SW's skull. It rolls to the side and she desperately makes a slash for its skull. It ducks and she hisses in frustration. The SW starts to its feet and she makes a bard-like spin. There was no getting out of the way as she sword slashed its spine in two. She smirks at her fallen foe, then re-sheathes her sword, and taking her bow. She grabs for arrows of fire and starts shooting at the fairly flammable foe that assaulted Deiter.~

<font color="plum">Kaz finds herself on the other corner of the room, nearer to Spree than anybody else. She shakes off the effects of the fire she was consumed in and decides she still has enough strength to fight on without wasting a potion. She looks at the Efreeti and remembers Larry's pillow lesson. She takes out her dagger and hurls it at the foul beast. </font>

~ Being of the essence of fire, the efreeti laughs as Spree's arrows tickle him. ~

~ The final SW collapses from the attacks of Larry and Spree. ~

-Deiter was curseing to himself as he was held in spot by Meldrin.-

~ Mistral winces as the ring of fire scorches her as she swings Brightblade at it. The efreeti moans as her blade strikes it, as does Kaz's dagger...~

<font color="silver">Larry slashes at the efreeti, feeling the cold of Nighblade in her hilt. At the same time, he sees a dagger come flying in and strikes the beast in the shoulder. It spins around, blaming Larry for both attacks, and turns its back on Mistral.</font>

~ Mistral swings at the efreeti, comforted to know it will soon be dead ~

~ Meldrin surveys the chaotic situation from his corner and casts an Abi Dalzim's Horrid Wilting at the group, knowing they will take damage regardless of whether they save versus the spell. The spell evaporates moisture from all the living creatures... ~

The words are heard throughout the room...Reci...valia...(ooc...I cannot remember exactlyhttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif) and then all party members are blessed with temporary haste (level 3)</font>

(ooc: I wasn't shooting the er... Whatchamacalit! I was shooting the skeleton!)

~She curses as Deiter was frozen in his tracks. Casting a barkskin, she steps in front of Deiter and eyes the Efreeti warily. She pulls a different set of arrows from her quiver, a type of arrow made exclusively by sea elves and used by thieves to dounse torches... Water arrows... She grins, shooting each arrow with increased speed due to her boots.~

(ooc: Just some facts I gathered from playing BG2 - Haste is not really a good choice for long battles, cos the characters will suffer from fatigue after the spell wears off. <font color="silver">Larry sees arrows flying overhead, and backs off, realizing that Spree is going to take this mutha out in ranged weapons.
He turns quickly to see that Kaz is ok, and she seems to be in deep concentration of yet another spell.</font>

~ Choking, Mistral staggers out of the range of the spell visibly weakened. She casts minute meteors, preparing to distract Meldrin ~

-Deiter finally gets rid of the hold spell. Looking at the others he checks to see if they need help.-

<font color="silver">Larry, observing that he has been wounded runs over to Kaz's side of the room, and downs his only potion of healing. He suggested to Kaz that she do the same, which made her very angry because she was preparing a spell, and now lost track of what she was doing. Yet she drinks her only potion as well.</font>

~ The efreeti finally collapses with a howl... ~

~ Seeing that the battle has only just begun, Meldrin casts a Protection from Evil spell, followed by Gate... (ooc: Remember, he's wearing nifty items to allow him to barely squeeze in another spell) ~

~She whistles to Deiter, motioning for him. He had to get out of the wilting! She eyed down Meldrin, trying to figure out what to do.~

ooc: ER, we've got 3 rangers here... What good does that do him exactly?
