There are no kits in BG1 so the ranger and conjurer wont work. You need basic characters like mage, fighter, etc.

mil, actually, those will work. im playing through with a ranger right now, and ive already made my conjurer. also, Edwin is a conjurer. those are schools of magic, and ranger is a different kind of fighter, so those work in this game. the only additional mage kit in bg2 comes w/ ToB in the Wild Mage, and the ranger/fighter/paladin (warrior) classes each get 3 kits each... so those work. and link, if your gonna join the multi, were in desperate need of a Priest right now, if you get my drift... but you can be whatever you want, thats why space 6 is open. at least, thats the SECOND purpose...

ok, then, the priest is the exception on the stats rule. he can be pimped out, just not all 25s or something... also, second pick of the best armor. oh, and id take warhammer proficiency... were going for bassilius early on probably.

ok then, the only thing thats left is to roll your characters, and set a day and time for gaming. Lioness has said that Tuesday would be best, so if theres any objectsions please say so. the time... well we'll have to decide that later. email me preferred times, or when you can play, and your stats (mil, you CAN use both those characters, since nobody took spot 5). also, we have to decide a host... im out of the running early on, cuz of this crap 56k modem. gettin DSL relatively soon tho, but thats beside the point. we'll probably use the more centralized person for server tho, assuming they have a good connection.

As Sephiroth pointed out, scheming, planning and duels are much more fun than bards. Bards just have this nasty habit of telling the same old jokes, singing the same old songs, and coming up with horribly exaggerated encounters involving great heroes who nearly die at the hands of every kobold they see, essentially, they're boring.
