OK, some rumbling about dogs.. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif
If you don´t feel like using a choke leash (did I get that one right?) you can also take the dog hard by the scruff. Don´t worry, it´s made to be taken rough. In wild both cats and dogs use the skin on the neck to carry and to throw around the puppies both to er carry them and to teach them. This is to use the "pup" behaviour since most raising of a dog means that we keep them as pups and encourage that behaviour to have total control over them. (In wild most dogs get to be grown up first when they can freely hunt and kill prey.) Just something that might be of interest... *walks whistling away* ------------------ http://wolfgir.najk.net/name.gif WOLF WINS EVERY FIGHT BUT ONE, AND IN THAT ONE, HE DIES |
WOLFGIR,
Yes, I know that one and I do take advantage of it. It seems Bubba is the only cat that the pup won't chase (figuring it must have been Bubba who gave him the what for) whenever I am withing reach of the pup as he is readying himself to give in and chase, I push him down gently but firmly right at the scruff of the neck. He understands my posistion of authority and won't chase as long as I am within reach. He needs to stop it all together or I'm going to buy a bullwhip! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif Moni ------------------ http://members.aol.com/lasttrueprincess/images/ltp4.gif |

Go to www.apple.com choose Quicktime and trailer and look up cats rules! Your in for a laugh I guarantee!! ------------------ http://wolfgir.najk.net/name.gif WOLF WINS EVERY FIGHT BUT ONE, AND IN THAT ONE, HE DIES |
WOLFGIR,
I'll have to download Quicktime and get back to you on Cats & Dogs. In the meantime (LOL) my dogs does not HAVE to chase the cats, he chooses to. The other two dogs we have are really good friends of the cats and Maggie (one of our female cats) is just miserable that she can't socialize with her best friends, the dogs. Hopefully he'll grow out of it or at least mellow out about it when we get him fixed. I saw a link to the movie Memento on the apple site...check it out. We saw it last Saturday and it was a very interesting piece of work! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif Moni ------------------ http://members.aol.com/lasttrueprincess/images/ltp4.gif |

How could she not, onthepequod? Unless one plans to be a breeder, not spaying or neutering one's pets is one of the cruelest things one can do. There's enough homeless cats and dogs running around without adding to that population...not to mention that animals when in heat start roaming and often end up as "roadkill"...sorry for being so graphic.
Just my opinion... http://www.wizardrealm.com/images/saz1.gif |
Ooops...Sorry, Onthepequod! I see your "wink" icon now...realize it was a joke! Apologies to you.
Still, it's an important thing to remember. Okay, back to my hole...*sigh* http://www.wizardrealm.com/images/saz1.gif |
LMAO Saz! Thanks!
onthepequod, Very Easily! I let the Vet do it! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/noncgi/smiles/485.gif Moni ------------------ http://members.aol.com/lasttrueprincess/images/ltp4.gif |

not ruthless, just cautious...every one of our animals with the exception of the nine fish are strays....that's 13 cats and dogs...7 of them accumulated in just over a year's time. No telling how many others there are out there that haven't wandered my way and no telling how many we'll end up with when our lives here are done...hopefully I can time it right and be the last to die.

Oh yeah, it is a terrible thing to do to a male dog that pees like a girl! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/noncgi/smiles/485.gif http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif Moni Don't be jealous of the hardware store trip friend! I only had to get a can of turpentine to clean my brushes. Big bummer was when I went out into the garage and saw that Rex finished the doghouse but left a big mess behind for me to clean up before I can put my car back in it including a paint brush that had never been rinsed out and is dry with thick white paint... it was even water based! And he wonders how I can bitch! tsk tsk tsk the trouble it is to be the hired help! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif Moni ------------------ http://members.aol.com/lasttrueprincess/images/ltp4.gif |

LOL! Well the turpentine worked fine on my poly-stain brush...the white paint covered brush is toast...I didn't even try to clean it since it was an old one. I am not going to say anything about it. Let him leave a mess on one of the new ones though and he will be hearing about it!
heh heh heh I remember Naptha...I used to use it to clean the glue off of freshly made formica coated cabinets. Once the truck was loaded and ready to deliver but the glue had not been cleaned off (I was late getting home from school). After using Naptha in a barely ventilated and confined area, I always made sure to come home from school on time whenever there was a job in the works! Thanks for your recommendations re the chemicals, I will write them down since there is and ACE literally "a stone's throw" from the house and a Tru-Value right on the next block. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif Moni ------------------ http://members.aol.com/lasttrueprincess/images/ltp4.gif [This message has been edited by Moni (edited 05-16-2001).] |
