I do fit the metal Ox description well too though although I would not say I am as much an introvert or as the site I posted describes "Behind that calm facade, though, lives an Ox who can feel hurt, lonely and unable to connect with others"...I speak to strangers as if I have known them all their lives lol...freaks some people out! I am so unlike my 'supposed personalities' though.

I actually read this article where someone (sorry i can't back this up well) was claiming that the horoscopes were worked out many centuries ago, and the postion of the earth has shifted somewhat since, but astrologers still use the old charts. His point was that to get an acurate reading you had to look at a different star sign (can't remember how far out - maybe a couple of months?)

Well that fits the description of the three Aquarians I know. They are definitely NOT judgmental of anyone. They accept and like people for who they are, albeit different than themselves. And of course, I haven't scared you off, so mayhap there is an iota of truth in the descriptions!

I don't know Leonis, Leo's attributes are not so bad. As I mentioned earier, I read three compatible personalities supposedly for me. They were Libra, Aries and Leo. My ex-husband was a Leo. I loved him very much, but he was also "loved" by many others if you get my meaning! Ah well, such is life.

Mayhap this "shifting of the earth" is why astrology is not totally accurate? Or maybe it is because we are all unique individuals and nobody can quite define our individual personalities considering our different life lessons/experiences. http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

I credit life's lessons and experiences A LOT with the individual I am today, although I believe that astrological differences prevail in all of us (i.e. Aquarius have certain traits that you can't find in other signs and vice versa)

I have had my personality tested, my handwriting, etc. and the end results all point to what I am being a result of what I have lived through and how I have managed to use the experiences and lessons to overcome (a key word in all the tests http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...es/biggrin.gif) the negative and focus on the positive.

Yes I agree to a certain extent. I HAVE noticed certain sign-personalities in people I know that have the same "sign" and do see similarities. But just when I start thinking I'm seeing a pattern, I meet someone else who breaks all the rules!! So yes, as you (and I) said, life experiences make quite a lot of difference. For instance, my "horoscope" says I am a wanderer (even the name "Wendy" means wanderer) and although I would very much love to "wander," my life situations have kept me basically in one location for my entire life. I can agree on the part that says I like my "space" wherein I get very grumpy if I don't get time to myself (totally alone) on a regular basis. Of course, I was an only child, so spent most of my childhood doing things "alone" so that could be the reason why I feel that way. Go figure, but you'll be figurin for a long time!

As for the handwriting analysis, I have seen a few TV programs related to that topic. But I have to wonder about that as well, because a lot of my handwriting is basically "copycatting" other's handwriting letters that I particularly liked when I was younger. My "g's" do not have a curve, but go straight down. I also write "a's" like you see in this text. Not really my personality, per se, but borrowed from another, so analyzing would be faulty for me?

Ladyzekke,

You will find different versions of handwriting analysis all over the planet. What one psychologist says to define this or that may not be even remotely close to what another has to say on the subject. My own handwriting is a mixture of cursive and printed letters. I wish I could remmeber where I got the info I based my "true" handwriting analysis on to point you in a generally correct direction in order to back myself up here but the truth is, it was so long ago (5 years or more) that I haven't the faintest....it was printed material, that much I do remember. http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...es/biggrin.gif

Names also seem to play a part in indivuality, albeit you seem to be more of an individual than your name's definition as a wanderer! How does your middle name or Last name play into the total aspect of the "you" that we know and love?

What about Numerology?

My name Monique means "One of wisdom" or "the Advisor". I would say that it fits as people always seem to come to me in times of overwhelming stress in order to find solutions that will not only work but make the situation look so simple they wonder why they were worried at all.

(Not advertising for online counseling here! http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...miles/wink.gif)

I have also studied Psychology which I credit to giving me a lot of insight into the "Human Animal" and how we can choose to (or not to) react to our own emotions. This was one of the best things I ever did for myself as it allowed me to see that I carried a lot of problems around in my life that did not belong to me, but rather to my family members. I really changed for the better as a result of letting those issues go. You will find though that Psychology textbooks vary as well and I would say the older the better...get the info before the mainstream textbook publishers started putting their two cents worth in and screwing them all up http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...miles/wink.gif

All I know is I read about "Wendy" meaning "wanderer" long ago as a child. My middle name is Ann and I haven't the faintest idea what that name means. Personally, I have always hated my name as "Wendy", sounds so bubblegum, I would have rather had a more "elegant" name you know?

I remember seeing something re Handwriting Analysis about when people scribble they are dishonest and the ones who write clear letters were honest. Strange. And of course for some reason I for a long time thought people who wrote large rounded cursive were fat, this was all based on my teenage high school years wherein we all wrote eachother letters as friends constantly, and I came to that conclusion until... one day...I received a letter, large rounded letters and all, from a very slim person, and yet again, my deductions were tossed into the wind.

I know nothing about numerology so cannot comment on that part unfortunately.
I took psychology in high school for two years and also sociology. I think I learned more from real life myself, but the classes were good for categorizing. I regret that I am definitely one who carries quite a history load upon my back. I try to ignore it and let it go, but it always seems to return that is the problem. Some histories we can truly leave completely, but some situations re family you cannot totally unhook from, so must find a way to cope instead of let go.

Cloudbringer that's great news regarding the cable http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

Just had major dramas this end for the last couple of hours, with the mother of all crashes. My poor bro' had just finished doing an absolute shitload of tedious, tedious work, hours of it then pop...off she went. He went schizoid, proper ballistic, the poor guy hadn't saved whatever it was he was doing. He hasn't stopped berating himself for his "foolishness" since and he knows he's gotta do it all again from scratch tommorrow.

Sorry I got so hung up on posting and I was enjoying myself so much that the time just flew by and I forgot to mail you. I had meant to mail you to say that I couldn't link up until he was done. It's gone 2am now and I'm yawning so I guess another opportunity has gone begging...sorry CB.

My "g's" do not have a curve, but go straight down. I also write "a's" like you see in this text. Not really my personality, per se, but borrowed from another, so analyzing would be faulty for me?

'Borrowing' ways of forming letters is normal. You 'borrow' what suits you and make it your own. You do this all through your life. If you have a piece of your handwriting from , say, 10 yrs ago - even 5 - compare it with your current style and see what has changed! I myself changed my d's about 20 yrs ago 'cos I liked the lower case Greek delta better and found it more comfortable to write with my style than the stiff, upright 'd'. A handwriting analyst doesn't care where you borrowed from, only that you use it http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

Yes you are correct Fljotsdale, I do incorporate other's ideas in not only my handwriting, but also my way of speech (if I am around someone long enough, it will be a sure thing that I end up laughing exactly like them for some reason!)

Yes for some reason, I like the straight dropdown for letters with tails. The curves seem extremely feminine and although I AM feminine, because of my life experiences, I tend to take the rougher side as to be able to be tough and defend myself physically and intellectually, so I go for the more sharp handwriting. "back off, cause I can keep up with you if you make me!!" Yes, I can be defensive, but that is because I have had no choice throughout my lifetime so far.

Ladyzekke? Yeah, I used to use straight dropdown g's and p's etc. I also have had a tough life, but now I have curves again - not strong curves, just gentle ones, and not on all the letters that fall below the line either, just some. At one period, I used to do a sort of hard backward-facing jag at the end of the stroke as well. I figure it probably indicated anger! This was at the time I found myself mentally planning how to murder my husband and not be found out.... I got a divorce instead, lol! http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

You are very interesting to talk to I must say! I hope we can converse again, as I need to get some sleep now. Well maybe someday I will find some "curves" in my writing, but as of now I am still all straight angles (this is who I am love it or leave it. Doh!) You know, maybe there is a wee bit of true insight re handwriting after all. Recently I was talking with Asphixiate about what kind of fonts I would like for my sig name. I told him I wanted bold sharp angles because I felt that would personify my "sig" correctly, not thinking mayhap I was subconciously personifying myself!

No doubt, divorce is much easier than pillow smothering LOL! http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...es/biggrin.gif
