Buy enough silly things from that conman and get 'traders tongue' +1

the carpet can be used to decorate your chosen home in the game

a house? nope, I don't need a house. I got a portable bed where I can sleep everyway. All my stuff is stored on a barrel where I can carry everywhere.

I heard a few mention this stuff things into a barrel trick but i've never been able to pull it off..... My barrels weigh 500 and the weight increases with each item added. How do you do it?

After you 'lose' the stones, it sure becomes a pain to trudge back and forth to town to sell stuff..... not that i really need the gold.... I am carrying about 95000gp which don't seem to weigh anything (even a kender would find that hard!). Or does my character have some kinda "money pouch of holding"?

Nah, those damn barels weights 500 each. I store all my loot (in barels and chests) beside the portal next to Ars Magicana(?). :D

Kakero 02-06-2003 04:57 PM

eyup, just becareful not to put that barrel near another barrel or it will spawn the content of your barrel into another barrel or vice versa. it's a bug in the game.

Nightowl2 02-06-2003 06:11 PM

If you really can't stand walking back to town (or using the outdoor portals), just go rescue the mage in the sewers. After that, and one or two other things, you'll get your pyramids back. That's the Rivertown sewers, of course.

hmmmm.....

1) Rivertown sewers? I've already done that.... maybe i need to sweep thru that section again..... I am currently cleansing Iiona's dungeon. Gee I miss my stones.

2) How does this barrel thing work? Like I said, when i sotre things in the barrel, it gets heavier.

Kakero 02-07-2003 01:02 AM

if a few barrels is near to each other, you put things into one barrel. it may spawn the contain of the barrel into nearby barrel. I encounter this problem in Stormfist Castle.

So where is the sacred place for 3 to become 1?

what? do you mean when you become divine? or you get the treasure?

the dungeon to the treasure is northeast of the church. the entry is hidden from sight, just use your mouse to locate it. DON'T kill any lich there.

Nightowl2 02-07-2003 02:11 PM

After you've escaped from the castle/dungeon, and had your chat with the kitty, you can rescue Zandalor. There's an entrance to the castle treasure room in the Rivertown sewers. You may have found this earlier, but you wouldn't have been able to go very far in (this is NOT the same place as the torturer/cells). Now you'll be able to enter the treasure rooms completely.

Be aware that magic doesn't work here. If you happen to have a mage, bring a good weapon with you, or several invis potions if you don't want to fight.

I once found a chest in the beginning crypt below the healer's town, that when open, wieght 0, but closed. it weight 500 or so.

When I put things in it, it do add more weight, so if I add a 200 burden sword, the chest would weight 200 when open, and 700 when closed, but it's still a nice way to clear your pack a little.

I got that portable bed, too. Very usfull. But it take a lot of pack space.

Guinness 02-08-2003 09:53 AM

3 becomes 1: I mean the riddle about sacrificing 2 artifacts to gain one with power. a dagger, a longsword and an amulet. I have 3 but dunno where to go to convert them.

Oh... u guys talking about rescuing Zandalor..... i thought there was some other mage in the sewers. I rescued him already. Those puny orcs didn't put up much of a fight when my mage took them one on one with his deathknight's sword. KEKEKEKEEKEK.

I rest using the orc camp. Nice convenient place next to a teleporter and with a few racks and tents to store your goodies too.

Kakero 02-08-2003 10:34 AM

Guinness , the dungeon to the treasure is northeast of the church. the entry is hidden from sight, just use your mouse to locate it. DON'T kill any lich there. just stand on some symblos on the floor and choose your treasure.

Nightowl2 02-08-2003 11:37 AM

Right, after you get out of the sewers with Zandalor, he'll take you to the council of seven place, and there you finally get your pyramids back.

The 2-for-1 place is among some trees to the NE of the church, so it's easy to miss. Keep in mind that, like so many things in the game, the trade-in is random. So before you stand in the circle, save the game. That way, if you don't like what you get, you can try again.

How do get the barrel bugs to work? The more I load stuff in the barrel, the heavier it gets.

So long as you do not disturb the tomb (by not clicking on them), the liches will not appear.

Hey! I'm not worries about Liches... they don't bother my lv36 mage very much!

But can someone PLEASE tell me how to do this barrel trick?!?!?!?!?

Nightowl2 02-14-2003 11:28 AM

What he meant about the liches is, if you disturb the tombs, you can't make the 2-for-1 trade. As to the "barrel trick", far as I know, people just use them to store stuff, they don't carry the barrels around with them. I could be wrong about that, though. Personally, I just used the two chests in the starting house in Alertoth for storage.
