England. Edwin crap. He was in one and he is in two. Imoen in my game difided the spell level laws and reviced two level eight spells so EDBIN is not so hot, he can't even use all the spells.

Azuth is the Demi god of magic, right had to mystra the and was a mage to revial Elminster.

Jaheria in mho is the most useful NPC!
Insect plague is an awesome spell, fire elementals destroy mass enemies early on, she has interesting dialog.
She can fight (gorgan mail plus blackblood), is very resistant (she often outlasted Minsc at the front line!), can cast spells & heal!

I used her in BG1 and BG2 and I hope she is in BG3!

Well talk about spoilers. There was this post long ago, Memnoch knows... his name was still lordkymil... hehehe I think... anyway, It was titled, "To Those Who Hate Spoilers". It just said everything about Imoen, Yoshimo and some other stuff... and I wasn't even into Chapter 4 for crying out loud!!!!

i would say MISC is a great NPC... he was my best fighter i could ever have (in my party so dont say Keldron when i didnt have him yet) with the final battle with Irenicous... he would say as the music reaches its climax "Evil meet Sword, Sword meet Eviiiillllll" ... nearly made me cry when i heard that...

ps: besids he is a great guinea pig against enemies... he usually dies but i ressurect him since i have 2 clerics on my team so no biggie...

pss: people should really be careful when saying those spoiler... someone got mad at me once because i said that "SPOILER AHEAD" Irenicous turned into slayer... i think it was Rickard... was that you before??? i said sorry in that post...

I know I am not the best person when it comes to spells, but an incest plauge? I must have missed that chapter in the game. Although I totally bagged Aerie and Jaheria and the Drow Princess. Not to mention the girl in the copper coronet (and I'm still a Paladin, go figure) =-)

Edwin never used the nether scroll as well. I reloaded and got the scroll twice as well. I guess he is saving it for a rainy day.

As for Yoshimo, please read my post "Saving Private Yoshimo," to verify the other ways of keeping him that I have suggested. The current method is not practical and there are surely ways around that don't require leaving him behind for so long.

My favourite is probably Jaheira. Best all-round NPC in the game, in my opinion. She's got the AC to be a great tank, the dexterity to be good at ranged and some of the most useful spells in the game. Give her the hill giant girdle and the impaler and she's a frontliner as well as a tank/disabler.
Azuth, the whole purpose of insect plague is to stop mages. It's not meant to cause devastating damage. As for healing, she's a druid, not a cleric. Then there's that whole 'Jaheira complains, Jaheira whinges' thing again, which is garbage. Aerie's the one that complains most. What's Desyxic mean? Dyslexic? Don't flame me, I'm being serious.
Edwin's a great character. Best mage in the game, and that includes PC mages, since he gets those funky Thayvian powers. But you can't give him the amulet of power, Rik. Like most specialists, he's best used as a team player, since mages don't get very far alone without true sight.
