Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Hello, all. Been a while since I posted in a cafe.
Why is no one active here late on a friday night, except for me? Do you people think you're cool, having social lives?! Well fie on you! Fie, I say! :p |
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I would like to think M&M's are comfort food, but then again, i would also like to think that some part of the legends about vampires, werewolfs, and immortals are true.
We're all allowed to have fancies arent we? Not that im saying im a weirdo like that or anything, but sometimes, when i have nothing else to think about, i wonder how awesome it would be to be one of those three things. |

Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I *have* seen a boy sonogram before... and it still looks to me a whole lot like dancing white dots on a black sheet ;)
That being said, realize that they can't *prove* it's a girl. They can only *prove* it's a boy... the evidence could be hiding :hehe: 'Course, they see lots of these, so the little one would have to be *very* good at hiding the evidence... |
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
well, at least you didn't put the emphasis on "little one"

Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

That equals sign in there probably through it off... Or maybe not... I should test before posting and sounding intelligent... There. It *DIDN'T* want the equals sign... or the letter before it... |
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
So you only put the ID in the tags and not the whole adress?
Testing... ETA: It worked. Thanks. |
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Yep :D
Morning, all. Forgot to report that we had our first snowfall Sunday/Monday... had about half an inch that stuck on the ground, and is now gone. Winter is officially on the way :( |
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Oh yes it is, i awoke one morning to find a light snow already on the ground. Time to go back to driving a truck.
|
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Morning, all! :happywave:
My alarm went off this morning, but I couldn't see the clock to see if I'd hit the snooze on it already or not. Turns out we've lost power at this hotel, and it won't be back on until around 8... a good three hours from now. It's still pitch dark outside... making life a wee bit complicated for things like showering, packing up (since I leave today), and such. Saw the desk clerk in the hallway, and he gave me a glow stick to light my room. Dialed in to the internet via my laptop and cell-phone modem... gotta love technology! :D Now it's off to a local YMCA so I can work out, shower, and get back here to get ready for heading out to a client this morning... At least there's no snow here :) *grabs some M&Ms on the way out* |
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
...just set your laptop to a white screen. It should give you enough light to do what you need to.
...just be quick of course! |
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Where I lived before I moved here, we didn't get much snow, and never around now - Always in about February. We had one year where it snowed so much the main road by our house was blocked and my sister and I couldn't go to school. Didn't bother us.
Now I live right next to the coast, so I doubt there will be much snow here either. Kai and Collinder Dave (a couple of my friends who have been here a few years) tell me that it did snow once but only settled in the park. |
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I couldnt really imagine a Michigan winter without snow. Its kind of what makes Michigan, Michigan. If you guys and gals get my meaning.
|
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
The power came back on about 5:45... since I was just about ready to head to a local YMCA to work out, I kept that plan.
And I agree, DA... winter without snow really isn't winter. Michigan without snow is... someplace else, I'm sure :D Snow's all gone now... time to finish packing up things for the winter and put out the Christmas lights. I don't turn 'em on (except to test) before Thanksgiving, but I want to set 'em up when it's warmer. Switching to LED lights this year... see if we can cut the ol' electricity bill a bit :twocents: |
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
They just said on CBC today that one of the old Christmas bulbs takes the same amount of power as 100 LED lights!
|
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Nice I'll have to look into that Variol.
|
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
That's what I'm counting on, my friend... <strike>we</strike> I put up a lot of lights :D
|
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Can't wait til Thanksgiving. Going up to Sanford, Fl. to visit my brother and his wife again this year. Mmmmm, Pumpkin pie, from fresh (not canned) pumpkin.

Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I just had to do my part of the cleaning rota for my flat. Including everyone else's washing up (which was NOT part of my jobs. We are all meant to do out own, but noone except me was, and the sink was piling up).

Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I cant wait till me and my girl get an apartment.
I told her i'd do my fair share of the chores, but she wouldn't have any of that! Maybe she'll change her mind eventually, as weird as it sounds, i like helping her out. |
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
'Course she's not having any of that.... you're up for *ALL* the chores, me boyo!
It's just a sneaky plot she's working on you to make you think she doesn't want you to... it'll change soon enough... Unless... of course... *YOU* are the one working a sneaky plot on her! |
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Hmm, maybe I should get a girlfriend to do the household chores for me. Or a butler or something.
Which one is the most expensive? |

But i like to spoil her. :) |
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
OK, someone find out who's responsible for the new batman series and send them a crate of manure.
Batman the Animated Series - Awesome Batman and Robin (cartoon not movie) - Decent Batman Beyond - interesting, maybe even a little cool The Batman - not terrible, but not good either Batman: The Brave and the Bold - this is not batman, do not be fooled. He looks like him, wear's his name, but this is not him. Almost as bad as the Clone Wars fiasco. |

Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
My mother-in-law enjoys housework... she gets her thrills out of ironing clothes. Go figure.
My wife didn't pick up that trait, and while I might miss it in some ways, I'm kind of glad. It'd force me to a whole level of clean I really don't want to live in. On another front, Toys R Us this morning had a Bakugon tournament. For those unaware, Bakugon are the *IN* toy for boys in the 6-11 year range. Think Pokemon a little differently, and as I think I've shared before, my son doesn't mind when he loses a battle. He doesn't *like* losing, but he doesn't get upset and frustrated like he does with other things. If you see Bakugon in the store, the ones that are important are the ones that fold into little marbles. The figures that stand are close to useless... and often frequently found in the stores. The six-pack starter packs are also very nice :) Corbin got a couple of cards just for showing up, and because he battled so well, also won a Bakugon :D He was happy... Finally learned a strategy lesson I've been trying to teach him, too. One kid he battled had three gate cards that all said that the Bakugon with the *lowest* points won the battle... and of course, that handily beat Corb's high-point battlers. Corb finally understood that kid's strategy when he lost to him... 1-2-3. Now to finish hooking up cable to the TV in the basement, and life will be good... |
Re: Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I've seen them around, for people from my generation, perhaps you should think pogs, you know the little cardboard discs, some of which they'd charge up to a dollar for.
Mostly I've caught the toon series on Saturday mornings. TV's always on in the background and unless they're showing something I detest it tends to be on Cartoon Network in the AM. They actually introduced an interesting plot twist into the series. |
