Well it HAS been a long time since I played.

At anyrate if pittbin wants his con back so much he could just CLUA up a tome of whatever it is that boosts that stat.

Gee, I think I didn't identify them and drank them all.

I don't have a familiar.

Thanks a lot, everyone.

The potions from the mines take away a constitution point?

I thought they just acted like taking a hit from poison. And at probable Nashkel levels without an immediate antidote usually means death.

Or s/he could actually play the game. How's that for an idea?

That too is a good idea, but I'm just laying out an option in case he's not that kind of player.

I went through a phase where I CLUA'd all the right tomes just to make my player the ideal whatever class he was, and still have nothing below a 9. Got boring, game felt cheapened, but it was fun for a bit. One time just for the heck of it I went all stats 25. strangely, even with all 25's at level 1 you can die pretty easily without any back up.

But I've digressed, my point was really if the constitution loss really bothered them that much there is an option, not really a true roleplayers option, but an option all the same.

I used manual of bodily health to get one constitution.

Alternatively there are 2 manual's of B.H. in BG that do your Con, IIRC. But one of them you need for a quest, or you could use it for yourself instead. Using one of those would fall well within the confines of a strict roleplaying experience.
