Given that the condition doesn't seem as rare as i'd previously imagined, i'd be surprised if the procedure is. Though no one else has heard of it?

I read somewhere that she got hundreds of e-mails from people all over the world, all with suggestions on how to stop the hiccups. She tried each and everyone of them, and apparently one of them did the trick, however, she can't really tell which one.

just drink a glass of water (try to do it in one gulp), works every time. i never had hiccups for more a minute. as a matter of fact i was just hiccuping a minute ago before i made this reply.

Strange they started again after a nosebleed? There has to be some connection to something here, some doctor somewhere has to know what to do for her strange problem I dunno. Really feel sorry for her, she came out of a month of hell and just when she got used to being normal again, it all returns. :(
