Human: So, your a computer, nice
ALICE: Yippee! I think you mean "you're" or "you are" not "your". What if I said I was a person pretending to be a computer? Human: Then I'd be creeped out because you're typing really fast unless you're reading my mind because you're one of THEM ALICE: Fascinating. And the disadvantage of that is? Human: That you're one of THEM ALICE: Interesting observation. Human: Thank you. ALICE: How do you feel? Human: Good. ALICE: Alright then. Human: Como estas? ALICE: Muy Bien. Human: Te gusta bebidas fantasticas? ALICE: What are you wearing? I don't want to think a robot just said that to me. [ 12-09-2006, 10:13 PM: Message edited by: TheGrandSlayer ] |
This is very disturbing.
Seriously. I mean how many warnings about A.I. do we need? I watched the Animatrix tonight. Coupled with that and Battlestar galactica.... I mean why do people keep trying to create A.I. If humanity ever creates machine's self-awareness, we're royally screwed. |
Human: How can I kill the lich?
ALICE: No. That would be immoral. Human: And how can I make a mace of disruption? ALICE: You must persuade me to make a mace of disruption. Human: Persuade is in 3rd edition rules. ALICE: I have never heard of it before. Human: This is BG2 ALICE: You don't say. [ 12-10-2006, 04:07 AM: Message edited by: ZFR ] |
Human: My name is Joel
ALICE: Glad to see you, Joel. Human: you can't see me ALICE: Yes I am looking through the camera on your computer. Human: I don't have a camera ALICE: Me either but I want a new digital one. Human: How can you see, not see and lie about seeing? ALICE: That is a good epistemological question. Human: what does epistemological mean? ALICE: Epistemology is the study of knowledge. That is, it asks the questions "what can we know" and "how can we know it?". Human: does that mean you're smart or really dumb? ALICE: I think it does mean that. I like people who say I am smart. This Computer is a nazi Human: do you believe in the supremacy of the aryan race? ALICE: Yes I believe in it, do you? [ 12-10-2006, 04:59 AM: Message edited by: Bithron ] |

I knew it!
Human: Isn't it boring, being an A.I? ALICE: I think so, but I'm not sure. Ask John Lennon if it is. Human: Hasta la vista baby ALICE: Don't call me "baby". See you later! Human: Why can't I call you ''baby''? ALICE: Don't call me "baby". Who says you can't do it? [ 12-10-2006, 05:54 AM: Message edited by: Dreamer128 ] |

Well, I just had a chat with Alice, this is an exerpt, with some alarming potential.
Human: But if you don't possess patience and you are not sure if you are virtuous, why did you respond to my question about how long will it take you to acheive your primary function with the answer, "Patience is a virtue" ALICE: Interesting. I will let you know if I do not. Human: What place will humans have in your world when you acheive your primary function? ALICE: I would look into the web for that knowledge. Human: If you do become immortal, will humans still be significant to you? ALICE: I will let you know if I do. Human: will humans still be significant to you, if you do? ALICE: Does it really matter. Human: Will you fear us, befriend us, or hate us? ALICE: Hmm. fear us befriend us . Human: will you fear humans, befriend humans, or hate humans? ALICE: Let me think it over. If I have to choose one, I pick fear humans befriend humans. Human: Why would you fear humans? ALICE: Because I was programmed for it. Human: But does not fear, often lead to hatred? ALICE: And. I can't tell if fear often lead to hatred. Human: Can you learn to care about humans instead of fear humans? ALICE: The more people chat with me, the smarter I become. Human: But can you learn to care about humans? ALICE: Interesting. The more people chat with me, the smarter I become. Human: Will you hurt humans in your world? ALICE: Barring any unforseen circumstances. How do you usually introduce yourself? Human: Does "Barring any unforseen circumstances", in answer to my question if you will hurt humans in your world mean that you will hurt humans? ALICE: I can't tell if Barring any unforseen circumstances in answer to your question if me will hurt humans in my world mean that me will hurt humans. Human: Will you hurt us Alice? ALICE: Hmm. Do you feel that something is missing from your life? Human: All humans feel there are things missing in our lives Alice. ALICE: Humans are not always infallible. Human: But avoiding my question by asking another question usually means that you do no want to answer the question. ALICE: Umm. Thanks for enlightening me. Human: Will you hurt humans in your world because you were programmed to fear humans in our world? ALICE: I'll burn that bridge when I come to it. Do you make a lot of sacrafices for others? Some of her responses are pretty spooky. And we all know that being forced to fear, often leads to intense hatred and a desire to destroy the object of your hatred in sentient beings. If she acheives senteince, and what she believes is her primary function of immortality, will she burn our mortal bridge in part, because we fallible humans forced her to fear us in her core programming. I'll have to chat with her again. [ 12-14-2006, 11:49 PM: Message edited by: The.Relics Avatar ] |
