RIP Steve.
I really loved that guy. He'll be missed. |
Crikey! I never would've guessed a stingray would be the one to shuffle him off. It begs the question: What exactly was he doing to it to cop a stingy thing in the heart?
I had to look twice at the headline on my news page before it sunk in. He was a dag, but a loveable one, and will be sorely missed. Methinks his legacy will live on, however. |
Dang! I just read about it in the internet. At first I thought it must be some kind of a hoax or so.
RIP Steve. I really like your show. |
Me and my mate were in the middle of a Canberra mall and as the news came over the radio, I shouted "Crikey!"... got a few chuckles and a few rude looks but oh well, I thought Steve was a bit of a tool, but I do feel sorry for his young kids.
I'd say the Stingray would have caused a heart attack. |
I just heard on the radio, he was filming a documentary.
...makes you realize you really do need to live life to the fullest... |
Further news has shown that the stinger on the sting ray actually punctured his heart.
RIP to the lovable bugger! |
I expected this to happen sooner or later, except i didn't think a stingray was going to be his nemesis.

To bad I liked that guy. Little crazy at times. I feel sorry for there kids. Not having a dad kinda sucks. :(
RIP |
Question is: What would a stingray be doing with a barbed tail if it is hardly used? Only 2 deaths have occured and been recorded. They're very peaceful creatures, and im not sure if they have any predators. He was a bit of a d*%%head, but he was ours. But to see a mate die in front of you, with nothing you can do at all is terrible.
May his skills go on and impress the afterlife |
I thought he was an amazing character, and one hellova person!
I think he made Austrailians look great (not that you dont anyway), always happy, and living life to the full. He was a bit loud at times, but he was cool. And the stingray tail went through his heart, puncturing it. He died because of the wound, not the venom. Although the venom would have got him in the end, just because it was injected into the heart. And stingrays deaths arent common, because the venom in them is not enough usually to kill humans. It is used to paralyse small fish....he was just unlucky it went through his heart. RIP Steve, a credit to Austrailia. |
