my dm doesn't allow me, neither do most crpgs iirc (NWN surely not i believe lowest you can get is 6 (8 and a -2 from race)) and in sp which i play most having a really low score doesn't affect much, as your other scores will be higher and that feels more like powergaming to me. i try to make it balanced, with my lowest score being average to commoners (10/11) and no really high scores. also most low scores don't affect much as in crpgs roleplaying options are much less frequent than in p&p where you could roleplay every desicion instead of having to choose based on 3 or so dialogue options.

I once wanted to play a sorcerer with low con strength and dex scores, a bit based on dragonlance's raistlin but my dm doesn't want me to have those scores at lower than 10 and in no way as low as i wanted it (3 or something, just to show i could roleplay and it didn't matter to me)
