I just have to say Another Fine Myth by Robert Asprin 'cause it always brings a smile to my face
|
1.- Raymon Feists Serpent war series
2.- Robert Jordans Wheel of time (Tolkien is probably at number 5 or 6) |
OK here are mine:
1. BAsically anything Dragonlance or Forgotten Realms, specifically chronicles and legends, and anything to do with Drizzt. 2. Wheel of Time series (dammit i want the next book, anyone know when its coming out?) 3. Lord of the rings (obviously) 4. Conan the barbarian, but only the original ones written by Robert Howard 5. Then anything else, i love to read!! |
Lord of the rings, no doubt about that. That Winterfell-thing by George R.R. Martin is also great.

A Song of Ice and Fire, by George R. R. Martin
Closely followed by Robin Hobb's Liveship Traders, LE Modesitt JR's Recluse series and Terry Goodkind's Sword Of Truth. Just started the Wheel of Time, I haven't made up my mind yet. |

I can't put them in order per say but, The Sword of Truth by Goodkin is what I have been reading lately and I like it. LOTR but it wouldn't be first choice. I like Modessit, Niven and Glen Cook as well. For writers outside of Sci/Fi and fantasy I like George Orwell and Kurt Vonnegut. There are others but these are the ones that came to mind first.
