Oh, gawd... a friend of mine played a load of stuff he found on Napster a while ago, including a gangsta rap about, of all things, Chewbacca of Star Wars fame. Can't remember it all, but the Chorus still sticks in my mind as the most inspiredly absurd piece of music ever...
'I am CHEWBACCA! I am a WOOKIE! I fix the ROBOTS! I fight the EMPIRE! Don't you ANNOY ME! I'm EIGHT FEET TALL! I'll rip your ARMS OFF! I'll kill your FRIENDS!' |

Jorath, not that I should know this, or am proud of it, but the line is "guilty feet have got no rhythm." It's still stupid, but makes a little more sense, no?

If I were you I wouldn't have told anyone... |
Tinky Winky!
Dipsy! La La! PO! Teletubbies! Teletubbies! Say.. er... oh! EH OH! ...Need I say more? ;) |
How about:You and me baby ain't nothing but mammals,
so let's do it like they do on the Discovery channel? These "great" lyrics were written by the Bloodhound-gang. Quite funny the first time, but after that...... |
Pretty much any song aired on MTV since about 1998

I don't think anything beats pretty much the whole of OK Computer by Radiohead. Sections of which are: Would you please stop the noise I'm trying to get some rest, From all the unborn chicken voices in my head, What's that? WHAT'S THAT??!! Later on it has: Karma Police, arrest this man, He talks in maths, he buzzes like a fridge, He's like a detuned radio oh, Or possibly "Life in a Glasshouse" on Amnesiac: Once again, we are hungry for a lynching, Packed like frozen food and battery heads, Don't talk politics and don't throw stones, But I repeat myself, Well of course I'd like to stick around and chat, Well of course I'd like to stay and chew the fat, Radiohead truly are the band for weird indecipherable lyrics.

Hey come on! Those are brilliant lyrics. In character, playing around with unusual similes and making biting social commentary. The "what's that" line is superb! Very funny and dramatically relevent to the character. Many hail Radiohead as one of the most groundbreaking acts around Barry. I think the old quote "taste is the enemy of art" is mightily approriate here. That said.......If we're going to have a go at lyrics let's look at "Don't tell my heart, my achey breaky heart." ;) :D |
any lyrics by slipknot / limp bizkit / linkin' park (damn stop yer whining about yer fakish emotions) and hiphop / r&b lyrics too....
|
oh and much black/death metal lyrics too, but i love listening to them , but deicide's and satyricon's lyrics rule!...
|
Ricky Martin with my ex-military grandfather in the car was rather classic.
Eh... Worst lyrics would probably be O-Town's "Every Six Seconds". That song is downright embarassing. Those boys should get through puberty before thinking of serious singing careers. :D |
