Hehe, yeah, those 24" wide suckas are VERY nice, I ahve set up 9 of them here at work in various places, and have never heard one complaint about them, ok, I have heard complaints, but that was just others complaining that they need one too

Ahh - I couldn't quite stretch to the 24" version, so had to settle for the lowly 20.1" version (the 2005FPW). I've seen a 2405FPW in action and they are really quite amazing, but I don't think my graphics card could even begin to cope with the latest games running at the native 1920x1200 resolution which is pretty insane! I think an SLI or Crossfire setup would be the way to go there...

I'm on Earthern Ring, and if you ever want a server that breaks a lot then check us out!
That reminds me, I'll have to upgrade this PC soon (providing I get a job soon!)

I'll keep that in mind - it would be good to meet up and play with a few fellow IW'ers!

Just out of curiosity, how much did you pay?
They have been very cheap here as f late (long special on) and I would love to buy one....

It wasn't the lowest price I could get it for (since I didn't fancy taking a gamble with the refurb models), and we generally get ripped off in the UK anyway, but it was still a load cheaper than Dell UK who wanted over £500 (eek!). I got it from a place called Microdirect based in Manchester for about £380. I don't know what Dell are on, but their prices are all over the place. I've seen the 2405FPW priced anywhere between £550 and £1200(!) within the past year or so. I guess it's because these Dell screens use the same panel as the Apple Cinema displays which are generally much more expensive. How much do they go for in Aus?

Heh - it's pretty much the same anywhere these days! Thankfully we avoided them
