Aw, not Scotty. :( He was one of the few on the Original Series I actually liked.
Krunchy- Really? I could have sworn they said it once or twice.

I'm with Sir Goulum, I seem to recall one time where Kirk said it several times in a row. It's been a few days though, and I am deeply saddened. He lived a full life though, and is on to a better place.

A big Federation /salute to Mr Doohan, and a 21 photon torpedo salute. I always likes Scotty.

Oh man.... Sad Farewells.

I just watched a few days ago the TNG episode which featured him as guest star.

From a NY Times article:
Mr. Doohan requested that his remains be shot into space, and his family has arranged through Space Services Inc., a Houston company that provides "memorial spaceflights" and which also sent the remains of Mr. Rodenberry and Timothy Leary into space in a 1997 flight.

It'd be great if they could put him on the next shuttle, especially since the 1st shuttle in the fleet was named Enterprise after Star Trek fans wrote to the White House... NASA article about the Enterprise

Anyone else know that he had a 5 year old daughter and a very young wife. She was half his age. And he died at 85.

They were married in 1974, 31 years ago, so she has to be at least 49 I'd think, in which case, it's a feat that she had a kid at 44!!!

The IMDB must have it wrong. They married in 1974, and they list her age as 43. I seriously doubt they married when she was 12
