Interesting, that thread is still open.

I do not think it is stupid. It is the most brilliant trolling I have ever seen. Notice how the initial post is formulated. It is calculated precisely for this.
1) It is vague and purposely formulated as a personal add.
2) It suggests a rare mode of travel with no clear travel plans.
Given the nature of the net the odds of someone replying as they did are high. Then a sensible reply to "hook" the replier asking for maturity. That will naturally be replied in an act of defence. Then the double rant followed by the natural resignation from the repliers. And then the mindblowing triple rant. The last rants are just an added bonus.

EDIT:
I took the liberty of translating it into an IW compatible format.

I like to think that he's so stupid, he's on a level of intelligence that we can't fully understand. So his actions seem intentional, planned and carefully calculated instead of the random ravings of a sanely-challenged man that they actually are!

;)

I dunno, if it was planned I hope he does it again on another forum in a different form. :D It was genuinely the funniest thing I've read on the 'net in a long time.

Aragorn1: Nononono. You are supposed to suggest that I am a dirty pig only searching for women under pretense of gaming...

Sigmar: I agree on both accounts. The first is why it is brilliant. Usually a troll bait simply play on anger for reply and most people who actually reply are either n00bs or know it is trolling. On the second I say it is hard to replicate as it definately demands some time to develop. You need to build up an identity by stealing tidbits (such as the anti-terrorist page) to build a plausible (loony) account. This is one of few trollings that have managed to span many many boards on its own. Its even here for X sake. It must be like Michelangelo looking at the Sixtine Chapel thinking "what next?". Definately hard to copy.

Good thing that he's the easy going type, it might have gotten out of hand if he had less selfcontrol. :D
