Sure you can. The real link is between property and violence -- a link that's as old as time. It's like blaming lawnmowers for it if a guy gets angry and shoots his neighbor for stealing a lawnmower. It's not the lawnmower manufacturer's fault -- duh.

All this time I've been trying to cast fireball on people that tick me off when I could have just stabbed them. Doh! DnD made me fail to kill people!

Yes, stabbing people to death is more effective than burning them alive. ;)
