I've got this idea... how about Z announcing every shutdown before hand, so we know that we are expecting it to be down, and not panic( ) when it happens? Furthermore, people who know there is no time of unavailability scheduled will maybe ping the site, to see what is exactly happening, you know? Yesterday, when it happened, I tried pinging and tracing and stuff to see where the problem lay, if the line was active and such... That way, when you get back up with IW, and you don't know exactly where the problem is, you can ask us for our information results... but.. I just remembered you kinda have the mods for that so... yeah

Hi -- hope you weren't too lonesome without us.

Nah, it's was kind of being home alone when you were 17; no parents (Mods) and the fridge full of beer. :D

Perhaps a 404-type page that says the forum is down for servicing?

Unfortunately, with IW's worldwide presence, there's just no good time for downtime :( I'm just thankful there's so little of it :D
