I'll just add to what others are saying. I've bought and sold plenty of stuff on Ebay, and not have any problems with Spam.
So, check all your security settings, don't leave your email address on dodgy websites and even then you'll still get spam. That's life! |
Well, maybe it's just fluke, but I was not getting any of this stuff before signing on. I forward anything I'm not sure about to the webmaster to block.
Can I set Firefox to auto block emails? Or can I only junk them? [ 02-17-2005, 06:10 PM: Message edited by: Variol (Farseer) Elmwood ] |

Wow, what a royal.. you know what!
I still don't have my Babylon 5 DVD's. They're held up in customes! The seller said he would send another set. It's already been a month now! Then; 2 weeks ago I bought a food processor on there. I payed $15 less than going to Walmart, woo hoo right? Wrong! The package arrived and there is a $59 duty, shipping etc. fee on there. The item with tax at Walmart (Canada) is only $52. So I would basically be paying $89 for the thing. So ebay, you know what you can do!! (middle finger smiley here) |
Here is a tip for Spam. If you do get any SPAM, DO NOT reply saying to unsubscribe. This just confirms your address as a valid address.
|
strange TDC.. i usually unsubscribe and they dont bother me anymore.
|
Thats if they are legitimate emails, most spammers will then confirm your email address from the unsubscribe and sell it onto another spammer.
