I would buy the Platinum edition and play online.

I havn't even finished the original campains in any of the expansion packs.

I only play online.

If you got nothing else to do then might as well buy it since it's cheap now. Plus you get to play online and meet with people from ironworks if you play Ziroc's mod that is. ;)

I hated the game, and nearly everything involved with it. Buy KOTOR and get a good gameplu, MUCH better graphics, and a completely B@d@$$ plot.

I just asked the same question on the NWN board. The suggestion was the same: buy the platinum edition and get all the expansion packs.

And definitely take advantage of Ziroc's mod... :D

If you don't you should be beaten with a garden hose. :D

Ok, guys (and gals... not to be sexist); I have a question. AFA I know, there are TWO different neverwinter nights games. The older of the two was an AOL game that you could play online, and it had the SSI/TSR Goldbox game style of play with the party list on the right and the picture on the left of what you see. (for those who aren't sure what I'm talking about, it's similar in play to the DC game that I'm always talking about and the FRUA & oldschool Goldbox games like Pool of Radiance, Champions of Krynn, Savage Frontier, Curse of the Azure Bonds, the list goes on and on for about 12-13 game titles). And then there's the other, newer one which is in the full 3D mode, and you walk around in a 3D environment (and I dunno all that much about it, 'cept I think I've seen it once B4)

What I'm asking about is this:
Frist off, does anyone know what I'm talking about (old school game)?? and if so, then what ever happened to the old school game??? Does it exist anymore???

Now I never actually played the oldschool Neverwinter nights game either, but I have an old Dungeon magazine of an advertisement with pictures of it. It would be like 10 to 12 years old now, tho.

Yeah, I played the old Neverwinter Nights --actually subscribed to AOL JUST for it, to check it out, since it was a goldbox type game.

I played it for a few months, then left AOL, because it was per hour charges back then. No 'free' time. AOL sucks. It's a pedophile hangout.

RoSs_bg2_rox 01-08-2005 06:57 PM

AOL does suck, but did the game suck?

Sir Degrader 01-09-2005 09:55 AM

I heard it was good, but they shut it down in '97.

Thanks for the advice, I'm getting it today. Can't wait,
