To play together with other people. Don't you feel bored to just play with yourself in single player games? In MMOG, you can band together with other people to solve quest together, to explore dungoens together, to kill a monster together. Also You can chat, joke with each other while doing it. isn't that fun?

I have recently got broadband and this is the first time i have ventured onto the internet without having a parent standing behind me.
I heard about MMORPG's (masively multiplayer online rpg) and thought it would be a great idea to try as i am into my RPG's.

The trouble was there is quite a large amount out there and i really know didly shit about them.
But the multiplayer rpg bit sounds really cool.

I've heard some negative things about that. Like some players power gaming etc. And there's the addiction factor too I guess. I also don't like the idea of having to buy a game and then still have to pay for it. I saw Legends of Might & Magic for cheap a few days ago, but, is that site still running? I'm sure it said on the box free internet play. Are these things quite buggy too?

I have kinda narrowed it down to 2 (until everquest 2 comes out) and just need some help to choose.

The contenders are:

In the blue corner wearing a very nice orange box, it's AAANNNNAARCHY ONLINE.

In the red corner sporting a nice space motif its EEEVVVEEE ONLINE.
All replys welcome.

N.B. i am very bored as you can tell.

until everquest 2 comes out?? its hitting stores on the US, Europe and Australia in November 11 (well thats what they say) but im 100% sure it will be out by end of november..i already preordered mine :D

I play EVE myself and I'd recommend it, it's not a game for action gamers though and requires quite an ammount of patience.

It's also getting a major update Soon™.

I thought I already saw Everq 2 at the store, no?

All aformentioned MMORPGs are horrible in comparison to Final Fantasy XI.

Just sayin'.

3do is no more, thus there won't be any server to play that game on.
