I once got fired from a downtown firm. Worst feeling ever. I went into a silent state of shock. I just seem to mute everything out and went home. Even though there were people on the bus, I really felt isolated and alone. So I went home and did what came to me first: I started rummaging thru my address book and called a job agency and got an appointment for the next day.
BP - when you fall off, get back up and move on. Life continues as long as you continue. It's a signal for change and you just needed to move on.
In retrospect, I'm glad I moved on. I'm in a better place, not THE career for life, but better than not having a job and I met some friends whom I have a connection with. I felt at home sorta until I have another home somewhere down the job. Which I'm hoping will be soon. Just stay busy and find another job. Good hunting BP. You'll do just fine.
