I'm feeling rather confused.. All my topics have ended in fights :S Sorry for the trouble i caused :( (lvl 17 and almost exhaulted with wsg)

Now.. *rubs hands together* Let us talk about the wondderfulnes of the upcoming WoW! May i add i am a little cheesed Xrealms hasn't come by yet, been waiting for it for ages and the ques are long as. Hurry up Blizz

Timber, I am afraid of end game instances because each time i muck up in an instance (for example, Scholomance) I got kicked because i didnt pull the mob off the healer in time while i was on low health myself, and the mage in our group was basicly almost full health and mana was just doing his own little thing. I got kicked and called an idiot, that is why i don't like instances. I prefer BG's because you can do whatever, there is no rules and even if you wipe you are back in the game ready to rumble. Yes raiding MC, BWL gives it's pvp gear but i can't stand other players and the way they act to each other. I was kind of thinking WoW would at least be more mature than my other previous games (Runescape ect..) Instead my chat is always spammed with 'Chuck Norris' 'Noob' and other variations of cursewords that would otherwise be see to on IW forum.

*I have nothing other gamers personally, only a select few that are really ignorant and rude that shouldn't be playing at all. After all, i have more on friends list than ignore.*

Hehe i know you were just teasing Timber ;) Glyc no need to panic mate, It's all relatively safe and fun on this forum and nothing is held personaly.

Keep working at it Burnzey. Anytime I'm available I'll go on a run with you to Scholololflcopter or wherever. Did you switch your spec to prot like you planned?

In regards to my earlier post, I guess the final outcome is, I was exactly 100% right, it's something we'd discussed in-game, and I happen to know that you're a new level 60 warrior who's trying to develop MT skillz.

And those skillz are key for those instances. Now, if the mage had pulled the mob, that would mean he aggro'd by not properly assisting you. The priest however, probably overhealed someone -- you, whoever. The priest will usually be your biggest problem for keeping aggro. It leaves you and goes right to him. If it leaves you and goes to the mage/lock/hunter, it's their problem. If it goes to the priest, it's your problem. If you're worried about low health, don't. If you die, it was the priest's fault. If you die and everyone wipes it will be seen as not your fault, but if the priest dies and you're still standing, you did something wrong.

Oh well, you live you learn. Now, did this priest not know how to Fade, or what?

Some spec build discussions for you Burnzey, hope it helps:

A Prot build used by our MT:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=TVMxzZVZEizoxM0qo

A mixed build for MT/OT duties in MC and BWL:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=pAhxbhZVxzZxizox

One of our best DPSer's, Terriz, uses this build:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=TZVVuV0xowoEbzox
Fury build, but it is well known that when T wants aggro, T gets aggro.

Our MT provides this handy Cliff's notes guide to tanking:
Quote:

I use my revenge when I can this is how some of my hotbar is setup

[1Attack][2Taunt][3Sunder][4Revenge][5Shield Block]

Usuall all i do during fights is press 345 at the same time just mashing furiously. If I lose aggro I press 2
Finally, one of our tanks/GL's provides this little comparrison between prot tree as needed in Blue-dungeon end-game vs. 40-man raiding:
Quote:

As far as shieldslam. My stance on the prot stree still stands. Its an underpowered tree.

Shield slam in a great rage dump but its not required.MS is just as good a rage dump.

1h spec is blah imho as is improved sunder.Your going to be getting so much rage off the mobs in MC practically right off the bat that 3 cruddy points off sunder isnt worth the talent points.

My favorite talent in the tree is a tie b/t imp shield bash and imp revenge. For what they do they really provide some great results.Conc Blow is also a great talent.

Heres the rub....all of those talents are absolute crap in 40 man stuff.Stuff isnt stunnable..you get a ton of rage off the heavy hitters and imp shield wall, while nice...is severely situational.

Imp shield block, defiance, shield spec and imp taunt are all you really need to be an effective tank in the higher end stuff.

Theres literally nothing someone with 31 prot has over you in MC,if you were to go 31 Arms 20 prot.

All that being said.Prot tree is immensly helpful in blue instances.Your not getting hit as hard and thus not generating as much rage thus making imp sunder worthwhile, soo much stuff is stunnable so CB and imp revenge can really help out with midigating damage and giving the healer a nice break. And on the boss mobs that hit like trucks shield slam is a great rage dump.

Last stand is great to keep you out of one-shot range on the bosses that MS if the healer is low on mana or slow on the heals.

Shield bash and CB are also really helpful in ZG on bosses and blooddrinkers.

I play a protection warrior (14/5/32) and let me say...you'll make your money by living in instances only. You can't do much else, but if you enjoy it you should play it, and I enjoy tanking.

However you'll be stuck to do anything else. Protection spec isn't needed anywhere, but if you're new to encounters it's useful. I'd probably respec to fury or arms, if I found decent weapons, but I LOVE shield slam.

My Fury warrior can still tank Baron, Scarlet Stratholme and Scholomance without much problem, protection warriors are mostly better for UBRS, ZG, etc. Plus, Fury is just plain old fun to charge at a mob and kill it 10 seconds later ^_^

Burnzey... How are you levelling in the Battlegrounds? The only experience you can get is from turning in the victory/defeat markers which is a quest, but you said you're not doing quests so I'm a bit confused. Also, if you're almost exalted at level 17 I'm doing that next 0_0

I'm sure your fury warrior can tank MC too, our MT is a fury warrior and it's no problem what spec you are.

Then again, he can't keep up with the hunters/mages/rogues in DPS. No way. Simply because warriors aren't made for aggro decrease, while rogues feint, hunters feign, mages...well mages just die but whatever.

Can't remember how far along he is, but I am close to maxing out I think.

Only problem is that if you don't have much money (like me) its hard to keep up and every now and then you ahve to do some grinding to get better gear, which is essential to a rogue.

</font>
Lol, quests that don't involve outside pvp BG. Keep in mind it gets boring waiting in que for a while..

Hivetyrant 08-26-2006 01:00 PM

My rogue hit 40 tonight (its 3AM) :D

And although I have been playing for over a year (not very often except for recently) I am about to buy my first mount!

Woot!

SpiritWarrior 08-26-2006 01:24 PM

I envy you. To experience the magic of your first mount all over again. This is what happens when you play too much too soon : /.

burnzey boi 08-27-2006 10:38 AM

Well you get your first mount... then you get your EPIC mount and then your like... Yeaaahhh... Actually the best thing that has happened to me on the game was making freinds with ol lofty on his server. Those were some good times :D

P.S TWO 60's wooooooot
