Have fun LennonCook, but beware - from what i've heard, TDD is full of bugs. Always check for patches.
Have fun, anyway

Your telling me that ToB has a completely different version of TDD? A in the 250Mb zip ive got on archive CD while I waited for the patch was a total and complete and utter waste of time?

*cries*

For those on dialup - use a download manager or somebody *will* pick up the phone at 30 seconds remaining, and most browsers *still* dont support download resume. IE6 does but its no reliable. I use getright, but only cos its the only one i could find that works properly through AOL. There a list of them on the TDD download page IIRC.

The ToB compatible is just the latest version, so the latest patch should make it such.

damnit how can u download it if youve got a dial-up?
You could shell out a couple of dollers to order the CD.
They do that just for people who are on dialup.

LennonCook, when you play it, could you kinda keep a list of the new quests, and maybe some info about the personalities of the new NPCs? I'm designing my own MOD, and I just don't want to duplicate anything that was done in TDD. Except Montaron, of course: TeamBG turned him into a Swashbuckler, and I just can't imagine Montaron not wanting to Backstab people. He's back to being a Fighter/Thief in my MOD.

Would key dialogues be alright ??

According to everything I've read, the TDD NPCs have little to no dialogue, with the possible exceptions of Vesine and I think the invoker Robillard.

SixOfSpades 07-29-2002 09:40 PM

What's a key dialog? Something that defines an NPC's personality? And why would anyone make a MOD that creates NPCs with no personality? You might as just run a Multiplayer game, for all the difference it makes.

And I thought TDD added some brand-new map areas, with the quests to go with 'em. That's just hearsay, though.

P.S. One more little thing: Could you try to remember what miscellaneous Quest Items you come across in TDD? Things that you can find in ShadowKeeper, but were never used in the game itself, like the Dream Potion and Ti'Vael's Head. I just want to know what funky items I can use in my own MOD and not conflict with any others. Thanks again!
