A friend of mine has a site called www.consoleclassix.com that has alot of the old games. Personally, I prefer newer games these days but I've owned most of the gaming consoles from the original Pong system on up.

Pong, Space Invaders and Pitfall Harry! ... if I recalled correctly.

Never had an Atari myself, but a friend of mine used to have one. I remember us playing Tarzan (which was incredibly dull, but the only fun game he had). We had a Commodore 64 up to one point, and all we would play was either "Cliff Diver" or "Wonder Boy". I did demolish a couple of joysticks in my premature excitement playing Wonder Boy. Oh Wonderboy... :D
All the quarters I spent on that infernal game in the arcades here... could probably buy a house for that now... |

I loved my 2600. I especially remember CircusAtari (the balloons), Pac-Man, and Pitfall (like Maelakin). I also remember my parents' comment that these things were for kids, and that adults could simply not compete. ;)
Anywho, no C64 or Amiga for me, no Coleco either, though I played on a friend's regularly. Atari of course gave way to the NES, which was truly amazing at the time. I still remember long hours whiling away at Metroid, Zelda, and many other games. *sigh* |
