Okay,,,I'm annoyed. The silly box is "UNCHECKED" even after reboot and all that...the box is not checked...but now the popup tags are again appearing! Why?

Okay, Larry, where exactly are you seeing these critters? Inside which application? Windows Explorer, IE, applications, where?

You can download a tweak for XP that will actually eradicate/suppress this feature. http://www.theeldergeek.com/tool_tip_displays.htm
