Say, you list some people's ages, occupations and nationalities to demonstrate how diverse a community we have here. Say, "a thirtysomething parrot-and-scooter-loving archaeologist from London, a Phillipine teenager studying in Sydney, a lawyer from... (?), an Australian vocalist in New York, a (semi?)professional runner from England"... ack, I cannot really think of people's exact fact-files right now, am too tired. But you get what I mean... an assembly of the most wildly different people around here...
Good idea Melusine. Not forgetting the teachers and the doctors, US soldiers overseas. Husband and wives and children. And the high standard of education and communication from our members who actually are spotty 15-year-old boys! Far from being isolationist, they are communicating with and learning about people, politics, religion and life from all over the world.

Great ideas all. I actually did a combination of all of those -- forgot the hammer though.

I took put the Ironworks logo at the top of my handout and then described about 20 different Ironworks members like . . .

34 year old English Teacher from Illinois.

At the bottom I put a picture of Choc

Erm... I think that particular quote is actually Hector Berlioz's.

Forget quotes. Just make a nice little RSVP invitation card with all the eloquent trimmings and an web address to this site directly to the General Discussion board or to a particular topic. This could also bring in new members.
