EDIT2:...I am sorry to say...I don't think this works...when I go into the recovery console, it asks me which setup to log onto. When I select the installed windows it reboots. Is there another way to acces the recovery console without using the CD?

It's been a while since I've used recovery console, but you need to boot from the CD and when you hit the Welcome to Windows screen hit 'R' to access the recovery console. Follow the prompts carefully, and you will be fine. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I can only get as far as it asking me which installation I wish to log on to. It looks something like this:

1: C:\WINDOWS

Which Windows installation would you like to log onto
(to cancel, press ENTER)?_

So I type '1' and press enter, but all it does is stall, then reboot. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

EDIT: Wrong bracket type...
