Like Ronn already said, these games generally have rather short learning curves. You don't have to memorise pages of complex D&D rules, instead you can just jump into the game and be able to play straight away.

Every one likes Hack'n'slash because were all morbid and we don't want to kill real things so we go on our computer, or gaming system and kill a bunch of pixels. That simple...Yeah...Okay...Right...
