Hey, thanks for looking everyone!

To philip:
Well, I extract the items I want using Shadowkeeper, look at them and note down any information I want to use. It is quite simple, and it doesn't take long to learn.

To Tonious:
A BG1 Familiar? Oooooh, a toughie. It might be possible, but I suppose I can extract a familiar spell from BGII and change it. You should download Shadowkeeper so you can insert the spell without using a CLUAConsole, my experiences with them and spells...... haven't been positive.

To Calaethis Dragonsbane:
A Flaming Katana +3? Sounds like an item I made for someone else. Sounds like a Celestial Fury......
I can do that very quickly, should be achievable. If you send me your E-Mail address in a PM, I could give that to you soon.

Anyway, feel free to PM me or my official helper, Gromnir. He should be posting here soon.

See ya!

I've created one item for the mod I'm working on (the NPC swashbuckler Pace)...it's the Amulet of Speed and Time. His quest is going to be tied in with the Twisted Rune (hopefully fleshing out that quest and giving some explanation for it), and the item will be obtained when the TR is razed. Anyway, among other things, it allows any character who equips it to cast "Time Stop" once per day. I'm also creating a new BAM file for it, so it will actually look like a little pocket watch or stopwatch when equipped. Yes, I'm having fun with this!

Keep up the good work, DJG!

Time Stop once per day? Available in chapter 2? Ohh, remember to tell us when it is done...

DJG 07-16-2002 08:20 AM

Well, it is not really available in Chapter 2 unless you have cheated in the first place to level yourself up to a phenominal level, because as far as I know the Twisted Rune is a quest hard enough to do on it's own regardless of your level when you try and complete it. Take a breath!!!

Theoretically you can just cheat it directly into the game, but when I do something like that I try to make up a pretty good story that would allow me to do so, because it is really just spoiling the game if you cheat it directly in without a reason. Take another breath!!!

My usual reason is that it was a childhood gift from your foster father Gorion, and since he is a powerful mage, it makes sense that he can create powerful weapons! Take another breath!!!!

Anyway............ to business!

Does anyone have any new item requests......
And has anyone seen Gromnir (Not the in game one!!!) recently?

Bye for now.....

Hey Gromnir!

May I announce to everyone here that Gromnir is officially my helper......

If I am not online and he is he will take requests for items, and either make them himself or pass them on to me. I see him most weekdays.

PS Gromnir: You'll find people are very friendly here, and will give you a warm welcome.

(This might be a toughie)

Well, I'm unsuccessfully trying to make a mod. I have the plot all written out, now all I have to do is get off my sorry behind and make it. However, I am not good at making items, so can you make this?:

Rod of Redemption (patent pending)

This rod was created by the god Mystra as a boon to the Harpers. In a very secret series of tests and quests, a powerful Harpist mage (who is also rumored as the most powerful mage in Feurun) named Elminster proved himself to the Harpers and therefore was granted this staff. It is very powerful, and only magic users (druid, cleric, mage, sorceror) can use it. It is one of Elminster's most prized posessions. It is rumored that in the battle with a powerful Zhentarim lord, Elminster dropped this staff.

Equipped Abilities: +2 to AC, +20 magic resistance
Combat Abilities: If an evil creature is struck, it must save vs. magic fire or be hit by a Flamestrike (6d8 damage)

Abilities: (1 charge)

Obliviate (not affected by magic resistance)
All enemies within a 50 foot radius under (?) hit dice die (no saving throw), all enemies (?) hit dice and over take 9d7 damage (saving throw at -3).

Abilities: (once per day)
Shapechange Winter Wolf, Wolfwere

Damage: 1d6+4, +2 fire damage, +1 cold damage
Thac0: + 4 bonus
Damage type: crushing
Weight: 4
Speed Factor: 0
Proficiency Type: staff
Type: Two-handed
Requires: 3 strength

Not usable by:
Monk
Fighter
Thief
Paladin
Ranger

To Willard:
Hello! Making that staff should prove a challenge. I have in my mind all the ways to make it, but unfortunatly I have quite a few to make first. I will devote all my time tonight (After My RE Homework! ) to clearing up my Item Backlog that builds up. That might take about...... an hour say.

As soon as it is finished I will E-Mail you the file. I am about to write a few instructions on how to get items into your game, look at that post.

PS: If that staff is any indication, that mod sounds great! After I've given you the staff, can you E-Mail me a copy, I'll beta-test it for you!

Willard 07-16-2002 10:51 AM

Beta Copy? What's that? Can you eat it?

Shadowfax 07-16-2002 12:16 PM

^_^ Hmmm... sounds interesting! I'll think of something I want, because that's really nifty! Making items.... -dreams of the possiblities-
