Well , the cops were wrong to haul you in and not him. Having been in a similar situation,in my case they guy had a baseball bat, he probably got off lucky with the broken nose. The guy in my situation didnt. After I disarmed him I beat him with the bat till he vomited.

On the bright side , if you want them arrested you can have charges for gang activity pressed and DEFINATELY sue the city and the police department. I'm sure you could use the money.
