I learnt Tae Kwon Do for about 3 years, after that long all the defencive stuff has become automatic now. You feel stupid walking on a street at night and hearing a sound then coming up into a defencive stance.
I also once sparred someone who know somethink called Ninjitsu, does anyone know anything about this cause it was a very unususal and interesting fighting style and noone I know has ever heard of it for some reason...

to me it sounds familiar but im not sure if im not totally mistaken its very much defensive based fighting....right?

Dagorion 04-15-2003 04:17 AM

Well it was... funky... that’s all I can think of. Not dance funky just funky as in weird and something I have never even seen before. At one point he approached me with his back turned towards me and he looked over his shoulder. I think it was only an intimidation and confusion technique but damn it was good. Also they are apparently not allowed to show or feel any emotion while fighting. I wish I could learn it...

ahh yeah if it what i think it is its pretty cool they learn not to feel any pain its crazy really

Anybody here learn Qi Gong? ( inner energy? ). I tried to learn it but the master warned me not to because I'll get " zhou huo ru mo " ( I don't know how to explain it in english) and it will kill me if I insist on learning it.

I used to do Judo... and i'm intending to start Krav Maga in the near future.

IMHO judo sucks....i really dont like it its TO defensive based like when u get attacked throw down the person and what you gonna do nexT? RUN...they cant do much more than throw ppl and run no offense to the person that does judo

I trained Karate from when I was 12 till I was 18, then I broke my knee at a practice and stopped because the knee has never been the same, very bad because I liked it very much and would probably still be training if I could... :(

ohhh to bad man whats wrong with the knee? you should go to an expert and look it up and maybe go to karate again give it a chance=)

Isn´t Ninjitsu the ninja fighting style?

I trained Jui-Jitsu a long time ago but quitted ( don´t remember why.) I intend to start to train a new martial art soon, I just don´t know which.

For the uninitiated: What is Krav Maga and Kata?
