Actually, I've never seen any real Canada bashing on the net. Maybe I've just led a secluded life. All I've ever encountered has been lighthearted joking between friends. That's not to say that I don't live in fear of the Canadian Invasion Force. :D

I've got to tell you that to me, Canadians are just about the most inoffensive people in the world. All the Canadians I have met are just great. I really don't know where this is coming from, but I don't think it is the opinion of the vast majority of Americans.

You just wait till the beavers come to a neighbourhood near you! :D

Here is a true story that happened to me about a year ago, in Asheron's Call.

Evey once in a while when I was bored, I would go to a newbie area and twink some newbies (cast spells on them, give them items, tank monsters for them,... to help them level).

That day, the area was almost empty except for a guy. I spent almost 3 hours helping him, and used up almost all my spell components doing so.

Then we got a little bored and went to a safe area to chat a little. This is about the conversation we had, as far as I can remember it:
I've seen lots of people bash Canadians. But I mostly see it as some juvenile crowd mentality. They are just saying that because it's the "cool" thing to do, but that one guy from Asheron's Call did offend me. I just spent an afternoon helping him. He could have showed some gratitude.

Well, I love Canadians. I go to Toronto several times a year for small vacations (it's about a 3 1/2 hour drive). Plus, it's a cheap way for me to get to see the Yankees play without having to drive all the way to NYC. Plus, Toronto's very clean, and I love the Younge St Festival!!
So, you have friends in upstate NY.
