I will see if it is funny or not.. i did not laugh while i was watching the first one, and i think the movie should not be funny anyway...

one of the scenes callum, only watched it yesterday but already cant remember, BAH! i just remember sitting there whilst everyone else laughed at something blatantly meant to garner sympathy and not laughter.

but the funny bits in the film involving gimli and at one stage gollum are well placed and its obvious for laughs.

Oh ok, it was probably the second one then, where smeagol is beaten back by gollum... there was a mildly amusing part in there somewhere... but if those kids were laughing through that... then it reinforces my opinion that i don't want kids

Nah, my parent's would get suspicious if there was a bun that was sold hot from the oven (clever metaphor there huh?)

My favorite comic relief lines from Gimli came from the "days long" chase, with Aragorn and Legolas, to save Merry and Pippin. Gimli is constantly trying to keep up with the other two, and is always shown running behind. These one-liners cracked me up...

and

"I'm wasted on cross-country. Dwarfs are natural sprinters."

well thats actual humour within the book anyway, legolas started well but in the close quarter fighting gimli overtook him ending i think with a win on points of 42-41 from gimli to legolas, though im a little hazy on the exact score [img]tongue.gif[/img] im sure someone will put me right.
