I picked up "chillax" (chill/ relax) from a coworker.

I don't know if this fits in this topic, but the thing that annoys me the most is when spanish people will insert an english word in the middle of their sentence. If you are going to speak spanish, then speak it, 3/4 spanish, 1/4 english. Just my 2 cents worth.

New languages get made up all the time. Ever try to follow a conversation in Hawaiian creole?

Or how about "Newyorican"? That's a mix of Spanish and New York English slang spoken by Puerto Ricans. In many places in the South/Southwest, people speak what they call "Spanglish."

When I was in the Marines, when we tended to speak with a heavy mix of Naval lingo and military slang. In boot camp, we were in fact expressly forbidden to talk about right, left, the floor, the ceiling, the window, or the stairs...they were starboard, port, the deck, the overhead, the porthole, and the ladderwell (being sea-going troops we had to learn to talk like sailors).

Those of you non-vets see if you can decipher the following:

"Actual this is Six, be advised am observing approximately twenty Tango Six-Four victors two clicks from your poz inbound at this time. ETA in fifteen mikes."

"Six this is actual...roger that, request grid for a fire mission, over."

Of course, any time I wanna feel old, I just flip on MTV and listen to the hip kids talk. I can follow the telenovelas on Univision better then I can the veejays on "TRL."

In a supermarket, I came across a drink called "meggy nectar" - since then, any time something would have been dirty, disgusting, skanky, slutty, gooey, sloppy, etc... it's been meggy

As an exclamation of surprise I sometimes say "Lawks!" (Note, yes, that is unscrupulously nicked from LoTR.)
Hmm, also, sometimes Isay "Gank."
It has no real meaning though.
