Most likely next year. My friends' brother has just graduated from the Australian army. Upon graduation (a couple of months back) they were asked who would be prepared to aid a US-led assault on Iraq 'early next year'. This was before Iraq became 'gangraped-middle-eastern-country-of-the-month', back when Afghanistan essentially still held that title. An Iraq invasion has been on the US republican aggenda for a long long time.
So yeah, next year is my vote. [ 10-11-2002, 11:07 PM: Message edited by: The Hierophant ] |
Perhaps when Bush decides to use his brain, he'll realize that killing innocent people isn't going to solve his problem. I still have yet to see hard proof as to a need to invade Iraq other than installing a puppet government to sell cheap oil to the US. Perhaps I'm wrong, but...

Personalli i hope Iraq is smart enough to force saddam into doing everything the UN wants but i dont see how this "war" can be avoided :( |
The reality is that America will go to war whenever bush feels like it... it could be tonight even...

If Bush thinks America wants him to go, he`ll go before the election.
If he thinks that America DOESN`T want him to go, he`ll hope to get back in, and do it straight after the election. |
Whenever Bush is seriously dropping in the polls, that's when the US will attack Iraq...

No Johnny, the elections mentioned are this November. They are for the house, senate, and various governorships.
