As anyone whos watched someone die of a terminal ilness will know, sometimes life gets to a point where all there is left to do is waste away. Youve said all your goodbyes, accepted your going to die, but still the doctors have to keep you alive as long as possible.

Some fight it, desperate for every minute of life. Some accept it, and wish to die, to end their torment and so the family wont have watch it happen.

My concern would be that if this is not being done through official channels (And if its illegal it cant be) then theres not likley to be control over it - Euthanisia is something I support, but not if its seen as the quick solution.

Yes, but it would be far easier to get pills or some other way of making it look like suicide. There are plenty of ways to kill someone, this makes no difference from that angle.
