Being a vampire would be cool. Or a frost giant. Or... or... a dire badger!

I'd play as a Kua-To.

The 3E Monster Manual has some guidelines to roleplaying as monsters, although I'm not sure if it can loosely translate to 2nd Edition AD&D. Andrewas posted two very good points. Also make sure the creature your roleplaying is relevent to the campaign setting (e.g don't be a sahuagin or dryad if your playing in an urban setting). I recommend trying some of the Planar races, they are diverse and interesting without being too overpowered (Githyanki, Githzerai, Tiefling, Aasimar, Genasi). If you wan't to play an evil type (judging by the fact that you want to RP a demon) try the Tiefling. You could also try playing as a Lycanthrope. However I'm not sure what the mechanics are like in 2nd Edition.

Oh, and Githzerai are way cooler than Githyanki.

You mean 'made moral' (minus the 't'), don't you... </font>
Not really By "mortal" meant "had lost all of his super demon-like powers" The moral part isn't necessary, evil characters CAN be played.

Another thing Tieflings aren't always evil. They can quite often be good. They just have demonic blood in their veins, their other half is usually mortal, though.

Deathcow, i also thought a vampire would be very cool but there are two problems - 1) He is overly powerful(you need at least +1(+2?) weapons to damage Vampires, plus, they can Level Drain) and 2) He is afraid of the sunlight.
Thank you, Rimjaw. I sure as hell want a planar creature because they´re all sooo cool(well, except the extremely fat daemon(Tanar'ri or Baatezu Least).. I still think i want an evil one(it`ll be cool to eat humans :D ).

Damn, my DM has all the books, is there any Internet site with Daemon descriptions? Thanks!

I would think a troll would be fun (It would be as dumb as a post but it would be strong)

Rimjaw 07-30-2002 10:16 AM

I'm not too sure. The inability to speak English would make things difficult. Also the trolls regeneration ability would be too unbalancing.

I played a halftroll in Darksun once, it was quiet fun, I had 42 hp at 2nd level, and everytime we came to a new room I just went in first and cleared it out then the rest of the party came and scavenged the tresures... it worked until Ii got trapped in a empty room and the rest of the party was attacked by 3 giant scorpions... which wiped them out and then the door openend and I killed two of them before I died from poison... apparantly the DM got sick of our tactic... Illithids! The most annoying monster in the BG2 game, and now you get to be one!

Any advice on what I should choose for proficiencies?

probably some sort of eating proficiency as well as maybe something that gives you a charisma bonus </font>
Yeah and I was thinking some sort of riding proficiency as well, 'cause I want him to ride a big white stallion as well.
Can a Green Slime use a two-handed sword?
