I do all the quests i can in chapter 2 because it is the only time you are free to do what you want in Athkatala. because chapter 3 is all about Aran, (or Bodhi) and chapter 6 is all about the elves and Bodhi.

Thanks Tiresius, so you can enlist as much help as you want for fighting bodhi? hopefully, cuz i wanna use drizzt and wouldnt mind haven more help.

Actually, you can get them all. You can get the paladins to help, the shadow thief assassins, and Drizzt and co. (whom you meet on the way back to Athkatla from the Underdark, somewhere in the Tethyrian forests.)

It's hilarious to see paladins AND assassins fighting next to each other against vamps, esp. with a drow ranger whacking at the vamps from the other side! [img]graemlins/laugh2.gif[/img]

Robe of Vecna, Staff of Magi, Evarard Sling....these are things I have heard of but I don't recall seeing them in the game anywhere. Either I missed these, or they are add-ons through mods.

The Robe of Vecna and the Everard Sling, among a bunch of other items, are available with the "Bonus Merchant's" download. It's also available through the BG2 Collector's Edition. You can download the patch for it here.

The Staff of the Magi can be obtained when you complete:
