Apparently this it is being shipped to NZ by the end of June, so that is good for me and my friends, who are going to make a module with the toolbox

Pardon me for asking but what does " Gone Gold " means?

Basically it means all the design and development is done and they have begun full-scale production of the final consumer product (ie: burning the cd's, making the boxes/manuals/packages etc). Once a product goes gold it means that in a very short time it'll be in stores available for purchase. Woo hoo.
Now, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think 'going gold' officially means that the first 250,000 copies have been made, right? I'm not sure if the music industry's 'gold' is the same as the gaming industry's.

</font>
The music industry's GOLD is completely different from the gaming industry...for the music industry it means a certain number of albums have been sold to consumers, and if it gets even more popular then the next step is platinum.

For the gaming industry "Gold" means that the developer is officially done with the game and has sent the Gold copy of the game to the publisher for replication. Chances are the boxes and manuals have already been in production and all the publisher has to do is copy the CD's and stuff the boxes.

Usually it's a week to 2 weeks between going gold and the game hitting the shelves, it depends on the size and resources of the publisher. And since Infogrames is so big, I'm hoping the delay will only be 1 week.
