Why not? That heroin is probably going to get some kid addicted, ruin his life and may result in him getting HIV/AIDS, not to mention a bevy of other problems.

Firstly, execution is, in simplest terms, state-sanctioned killing, and it devalues the respect we place on human life; how can we say that killing is wrong if we sanction killing criminals?

Secondly, by executing criminals you are ruling out the possibility of rehabilitation - that they may repent of their crime, serve a sentence as punishment, and emerge as a reformed and useful member of society.

People that use heroin, would probably selfdestruct in another way if there's no dope around. There's so many good information on the downsides of heroin, but there's still people stupid enough to give it a try. When you were born with shit instead of brains in your skull, you're going to end up in the gutter anyhow. You can't blame the trafficer for their stupidity. Like i said, put him in jail for a few years, i'm sure he'll learn his lesson inthere. Hanging someone over smuggling drugs is inhumane. It's not just stupidity that causes people to take heroin. Peer pressure and curiosity are also factors.

Well, I don't think the majority of first time heroin users think about the consequences of their actions.
