a lot of the special fighters (can't recall the name) are not even Iraqi. They are coming up from Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

yeah they were shipped in at the start of the war to await the U.S. in Baghdad...supporters of Saddam...or enemies of America...either way, there are 5 to 7 thousand of them. :( </font>
Wouldn't they be called... mercenaries?

Rick Leventhal is reporting that they are walking down the streets of Baghdad right now...in two colums and with no opposition.

Harris's betting parlor is open: Ollie packing heat and itching to take a shot at somebody The line is 1:1,000 ;) ;)

I've actually enjoyed Ollie in this role. Did you ever notice that he is almost always interviewing some young marine or is surrounded by a group of Marines? He really seems to be enjoying himself, out in the field with the young guns! </font>

There are plenty of US Marines and US Army no waiting for Martyrdom. :D

Lil Lil 04-08-2003 11:45 PM

LOL You mean some people believe he is actually brave enough to shoot someone?! ;)

Rick Leventhal is now reporting that the streets are very quiet...he sounds spooked.

Hell mercs get paid these idiots think they're gonna get 50 virgins and a new caddie..

Lil Lil 04-09-2003 09:58 PM

lol john too true...sad if you think about it really.

I just heard Ollie report that wherever he is in Baghdad (I am ignorant of his location), he's seen two Ba'ath party officials hanged by Baghdad citizens and he's bashing Syria hard for all the Syrians, Lebonese, Sudanese, Egyptians, etc. that they have been killing in the progress they are making....like the whole Arab world is our enemy...dangerous words, Ollie, no matter how true.

Mordenheim 04-09-2003 10:13 PM

At the same time he said he has not seen one Iraqi soldier. Those you mentioned are all he say's he has seen. That kinda is a eye opener.

Who knows

Lil Lil 04-09-2003 10:17 PM

That definitely says something for Iraqi resistance!!! I had missed that part (TV in next room, buzz of the PC in one ear), thanks!
