You have to consider the chance that not all of them were worth looking at. Some people's nude bodies are disgusting. Besides, now that everyone has seen their nakedness, are they now gonna convert to thier ideals? Naw...people who are pro-war will still be pro-war. It has turned into a circus side-show to make noticeable attractions.
I wonder what that little demo will do to the rape attack statistics in the city for the next few days? Will it improve the number?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

And...

Beauty is only skin deep.

I think the point was not to show off, but to get people to notice the message. They felt if the messenger needed to be nude to deliver the message and at least get some notice, they felt it was worth the effort.

Heaven forbid that the pretty people will one day become unattractive.

The only message they successfully broadcasted is that they decide that it is okay to break the law to make a point.
Fighting bad ideas with bad ideas is not gonna result in good outcome.

Exposing your body in public is the wrong way to make a point. In fact, the only thing I think of thier message is that they will resort to any evil to produce thier desired effect. They're a bunch of glory-seekers. Can they not come up with more creative means of producing a positive effect for their party?
Their message was "No Bush". Does that mean that the democrats are a bunch of perverted wierdos that care nothing of the decency of a lady? Those women are grotesque in spirit and are deranged in mentality. Their husbands (The ones married)should have serious talks with them. Is it alright for a man to let his wife go showing off her body to strangers? Why don't they go ahead and become hookers? Might as well. They have no care for thier own bodies.

Hate to tell you larry, but the nude body, by itself, does not have a heck of a lot to do with sex. It is the human body at its most natural state. There is nothing disgusting about it. What does hooking have to do with any of this?

Public exposure is illegal.

What does their message say?
That they are willing to break the law to get a point across?

You are framing my message to make it appear that I am saying what I am not. You are trying to get me to get off the point, and the point is...the naked human body is not to be used as a public display so that people will listen and take notice of their argument. By breaking the law of the land, they are being vulgar in thier approach.

Personally, this stunt reminds me of the Abortion Clinic protestors that lay down in front of any vehicles trying to get in. They are not just trying to convey their message - but to do so by being sensationalistic and disruptive. OK - so it got them a blurb in CNN. What else did it accomplish? (aside from the possibility of some rather embarassing frostbite problems).

skywalker - Whether these women were pretty, ugly, or somewhere in between makes no difference to me. The fact is that they deliberately went out of their way to break the law - just to get a little media "exposure" (OK, I couldn't resist that one - sorry).

I believe Larry's objection stems from his religious values. The human body is a beautiful creation, but that creation shouldn't be flouted publicly - especially if the woman (or man) is married. It should be only be revealed to your spouse. (Larry can correct me if I'm wrong on that).

Larry - I agree with your sentiments, but not necessarily your presentation. You came on awful strong in a thread that had been relatively "light-hearted" up to that point. It's good to see a fellow Christian that will act on his/her convictions rather than compromise them. Maybe just try a somewhat softer approach next time.
