I actually agree with that completely, Amber - I was thinking about posting some articles with different topics for the usual ones myself. On Panda I had a thread with "Tidbits" - short news stories about all kinds of subjects, often humourous. The focus is also very much on American topics though, which is logical because there are more Americans here than other nationalities... but I was thinking about posting something completely different. I'll go on a hunt too then :D Still, I suppose the topics that get the most discussion are the ones with topics that are more controversial... but maybe a thread similar to the one on PDM with short snippets of news from everywhere would work...

LOL :D Sorry, Mel, but I'm seeing a trend in this forum toward extreme topics and very few simple stories or upbeat ones. Z did say this place was not just to argue extremes, but also for good news or everyday news discussions. My news item was of interest to me, but I wondered if it was too local, which it may be. And I was poking a bit of fun at us all for always posting to the porn/bad priest threads and not the everyday news. ;)

This is why I threw up the woolly mammoth thread a day or so ago. I have seen some light, funny, and/or simple newsbits going up in the general discussion forum. Perhaps moving some of those over here would encourage more of the same and diverisfy the tone and content of the current events forum. Not to mention possibly bringing more people this way to broaden the discussions.

Ok, guess this is too local and if I want a reply or discussion I need to fill the thread with debates on porn or religion!

Hmm, so I should have posted that all the nude handicapped folk in the campgrounds are mad about their fees and spending their porn-watching time filling out paperwork.... LOL :D

I believe the handicapped should have free access to religious porn. They should also go back to the old system. If "Bernie" wants to put her impression on her dept. then maybe the public should imprint the seat of her pants on the way out the door. All it takes is enough e-mails to the Govenor and your state representative to get a policy or personnel change.
