I thought Tom Leykis 9-11 show was better :D The radio station sure thought so cause he was allowed to go from 9 am to 7 pm! Did you listen to the Stern show the day after? They kept razzing one member of the crew cause he wussed out and wouldnt come to work the next day.

That day was weird... I woke up when my mom said "Wake up, the Pentagon is gone!... We've been attacked..." Of course we soon found out it only had a really BIG dent in it. The WTC on the other hand... I remember looking at it and going "It looks like there's only one tower..." And then shortly after, the second tower fell and I went "Oh my god, so that's what happened!" I'm STILL pissed off about that, I'm still a strong supporter of Bush for his leadership immediately after the attacks and his subsequent(sp?) decisions. And anytime I see one of those people who lost somebody that day (they always look so sad) I get pissed off and wanna break something (I wish I could go break bin Laden but you know). I was in shock that day, all day. I couldn't believe what happened. I still have trouble... *sigh* There was other stuff earlier that year that REALLY sucked so Z, you're not the only one that had a bad time of it in 2001.

Oh, now look, I've gone and depressed myself! ;)

2001 wasnt that bad of a year for me, well besdie 9-11 of course. 2000 was bad, but thats not what this thread is about.

That day was weird. It was odd, cause I usally wake up around 11 am or so, but that day I woke up earlier, about 15 miniutes before the attack hapened, it wasl also a strange cocidence that we wear watching Fox News at the excact time it happened.

There wouldn't be many people that weren't shocked by the events of that dreadful day. I will never forget turning on my TV while I was snuggled up in bed at midnite to catch the headlines on BBC before I went to sleep. I didn't sleep that nite.

Not to be mean or anything, but on the morning of September 11th, my mom came in my bedroom and told me something about it and said I should look at the news. Needless to say, I was barely concious and fell asleep about 10 seconds after that. Finally, after several more hours, I woke up, went into the living room and noticed the TV was on, which was odd because my mom had left, and she's always anal about me turning stuff off when I'm not using it. So I look, and there's a video of the WTC falling down. I was like ...

i was feeling three main emotions on that day; sorrow, denial, and of course rage.

i can remember my mother waking me up. she was histerical and had tears in her eyes. she out of the blue started hugging me, i think it was because she thought that i was going be drafted and sent out to war soon. or she thought the world was ending, like alot of people did that day.

now my rage is directed at tom dascle and little dicky gephart for the recent crap they are trying to instigate. they trying to imply that bush has blood on his hands! as if al gore would have prevented the attacks. ha ha ha ha hee hee haha ha ha !!!!

By the time I saw that, it would have been about 4 or 5 hours later (at least), but one thing that realy got me was that morning when I saw it, THERE WAS SOMETHING ABOUT BIN LADEN!!! That, alone, is why I dont think Bush is right sending armies to afghanistan... he didnt have ANY proof when he first blamed Bin Laden; and from what I saw, he was sending troops out within a few hours to Afghanistan, WITHOUT ANY DECENT SIZE INVESTIGATION... whatever happened to the UNs ideal of innocent until proven guilty ??

I actually never saw the planes hitting the towers. At the time I had no internet or tv. Just radio. Lucky for me I guess?

He FIRST sent special forces there to INVESTIGATE, as did the Brittish. He later sent more troops after he warned the Taliban to hand over Bin Laden and help us shut down al Qieda. And i can gaurentee that we (US) had substancial evidence that Osama, al Qieda, and the Taliban were behind this. It sounds like you would rather the US not have gone in when they did, or maybe not at all! May i remind you that girls can finally attend school now and women don't have to wear those inhumane burkas anymore. Not that that was our original intent for going in there but it sure shows that a LOT more good than bad has resulted from our operations. OH, and i want to give credit to the Brits, Ausies, and others for helping there.

It also SOUNDS like you are sympathizing with the terrorists! I hope that i am wrong.

My friends father had a really weird day 9/11. He was watching his two grandchilds and was a bit busy. he had the vcr on but when he turned it of for just a moment he saw the plane hitting the second tower, it was probably a rerun, but he didn't think much of it, thought it was a movie and thought "wow that was pretty cool special fx" and put the vcr back on the his son comes home about 5 hours later and asks if he had seen the news, and he had o idea what had happened.

Oh and we better watch what we say, so it won't SOUND like we are sympathizing with the terrorists...

(does the word "Witchhunt" mean anything to you Sir Godfrie?)
