The only work experience open to us was training with the army for a week. Mainly cause Aberdeenshire council is millions of pounds in debt, so it can't afford a work experience program for every school. Our school was the second from worst school in Scotland (and Aberdeenshire) at the time. So they thought it would be best to give the opportunity to people who will not go directly to jail (fair enough I suppose).
I chose not to do work experience though I regret it now cause I’m applying to go to The Army Foundation College this September.
Anyway I have a question, was work experience a waste of time or not?
