But also, in Canberra, in Mid February, it is <u>not</u> bound to be Hot and sunny... it might be, but more likely you will find it cold. It will probably not have temparatures higher than 45'C... if that.

Beautiful for going to the beach - about 25-35 Centigrade - 77-95 F around Feb. It's not normally humid in Sydney - it tends to be dry and hot, much drier than around the equator. Up north (Queensland) it's a lot muggier and more what you're used to - it's almost a tropical clime there in summer. Bring lots of sunscreen as the sun is very strong here and you will be exposed to a lot of UV (no pollution to filter it out). At night it can get quite chilly in February - bring a jacket.

That's Sydney weather for you! We *can* get four seasons in one day - cloudless blue skies in the morning, a storm front moving in by noon, heavy showers in the early afternoon, clearing to blue skies again by late afternoon ahead of a cool change in the evening where the mercury can drop by 10 deg C. Makes it a bit hard to plan what to wear - but 90% of the time you'll find it sunny, clear blue skies. ;)

You should consider going to Sydney while you're here - it's only a 3 1/2 hour drive from Canberra (or a short plane hop) and will be well worth your time. Canberra's like Washington DC; Sydney's like New York City. ;)

Well I cant really say mistral...weather is really strange here, you can have all 4 seasons in one day, literally. Maybe someone else could say more than "flip a coin". :D
