With Drizzt scimitar and armor, i got my AC down to -4.

Just imagine adding cloak of protection+2 and two rings of protection+2.

My mage has an armor class 0f -4, I think that's the best you can get while being a mage, the best I got with a fighter was -5..On BG2 with a barb, I got-24

Shadow, you can't wear simultaneously Cloak of protection +any and Ring of protection+any, or two rings of protection. So, I would recommend you wear one ring of protection+2, non-magical armor and cloak of balduran.

Or...you can get a full plate mail +1, helm of balduran, the cloak of baulderan
for rings get fire resist and maybe free action

But wearing normal Full Plate, Cloak and Helm of Balduran and ring of protection+2 will give you a better AC plus it improves your saving throws by 2. BTW, I do not like using Claw of K. because of constitution penalty. My warrior would lose 16 hitpoints, which I would rather not http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Then you can't use the ring of protection+2, because you're already wearing magic items.

well, no. Neither Helm nor cloak of balduran interfere with wearing amulet or ring of protection - I AM wearing them.

But you can't wear the armor then...it's either

Full Plate +1
Cloak of Balduran
Helm of Balduran
or
Ring of Protection+2
Helm of Balduran
Cloak of Balduran

Wear only normal (non-plus) full plate and you can wear the +2 Ring of Protection along with the Helm and Cloak of Balduran, etc.

The best AC that I had was -11..

18 Dexterity
Full Plate
Shield +2
Ring of Protection +2
Helm of Balduran
Cloak of Balduran
Drizzt's +5 Defender (and yes, I killed him for this little jewel)

that should make your AC -12, not -11. because I have the same setup (except for the defender, which give a bonus of 2 AC) and I have AC -10
