Forget Nostradamus, the future is what we make it to be. If anything we should be using these "predictions" to change the future and besides the last time I checked the world hadn't ended.Don't worry,be happy.

I am nto saying to reject the prophecy, for I believe certain truth of it. but it is likely that some freaks would want to scare the living hell out of everyone by mixing horror with some spicy myth.

I am half-and-half re Nostradamus, part of me thinks he has hit the nail on the head on many occurrences throughout the years, part of me thinks it might just be all coincidence. I usually just take note of what I read from him, and just sit back and see if anything comes of it. I hope though that the ending part of that particular quatrain turns out false (re war).

250 - You have a point as well. Many terrorists like to use certain dates of significance in any form to do their hideous acts.

IMHO Nostradamus predictions are so vaugue nearly anything can been seen for instance MK is called the New City and has two large bocks of flats in the two other towns we have spread into, one on either side. so it could be used to mean this place, or it could be a refance to two people being pardoned for crimes they did comite and the bired of prey is the true crimal turning himself in or even killing himself. And the people being relased after victory in a appeal.
The second set of lines:
Earth-shaking fire from the center of the earth.
Will cause the towers around the New City to shake,
Two great rocks for a long time will make war,
And then Arethusa will color a new river red.
Scream to me Volcanio in the fist line, Earth Quake in the second, rubbing tection plates in the third (causes Earthqaukes and Volcanios you know) and a red river is a river of Lava.
See how is it is to put nearly any meaning to it.

if you have seen movie "the Messenger"

then you will view prophecy from a totally different perspective. we like to interpret certain things on the way we think they are, out of either fear or aniexty or maybe false hope.

250 makes a good point... they could just be doing that to use more subtle mental warfare on us... i mean, they are religious fanatics, right?
